Events in Pokémon Pokopia generally work in a similar way to those found in games such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Keep in mind that when an event begins, you'll usually receive a notification after loading your game and starting a new day. A message will appear when you leave your house to let you know that the event is underway.
It's also worth noting that most Pokopia events return annually during the same season or time of year, on the same dates as their original run. This means that if you miss an event, it will most likely return in the future, giving you another chance to prepare and take part.
Don't forget that you may also be able to use the console's date-changing trick to "time travel" to a particular event. This is possible as long as your game has been updated to a version containing the relevant event. For example, if the More Spores for Hoppip event has already ended, you can experience it again by changing the date back to when it took place.

During this one-day event, certain Pokémon will want to play a special game with you. Look for Pokémon with a speech bubble showing three dots above their heads and talk to them. At first, they will pretend to be other Pokémon by imitating their speech patterns, and you'll have to correctly identify which Pokémon they're copying.
If you answer correctly a total of three times, you'll receive an exclusive decorative reward: an Inflatable Sudowoodo.
During this event, Bulbasaur holds a tournament based on the jump rope minigame. You can win special prizes, including a unique decorative trophy if you achieve a score of 51 jumps or more. You can also invite other players to join the tournament through Link Play.
During this exclusive event, you can befriend Sableye. You can also collect Red Crystal Fragments and exchange them at Pokémon Centers for special treasure-hunting-themed items.
During this exclusive event, you can befriend Jirachi. You can also obtain Shining Wish Notes by completing requests for different Pokémon and exchange them at Pokémon Centers for special star-themed items.
