As in many other games in the series, Pokémon Pokopia has a special surprise waiting for players who manage to complete its Pokédex. In other words, if you accomplish the difficult task of registering all 300 Pokémon species available in the game—not counting those associated with events—you'll be able to claim a secret reward. In this entry of our guide, we'll show you all the rewards for reaching this milestone so you know exactly what to expect.

What Happens When You Complete the Pokédex?

As soon as you register all 300 Pokémon species available in Pokémon Pokopia's base Pokédex, you'll receive a unique badge that appears in the lower-left corner of the Pokédex screen:

In addition to this badge, you'll immediately receive another special reward for completing the Pokédex, as the game itself explains. You'll unlock the recipe for crafting a more powerful Dowsing Machine: the Neo Dowsing Machine.

The Neo Dowsing Machine can be crafted at a Workbench using a regular Dowsing Machine and 5 Pokémetal. As you might expect, it is a more effective version of this item. In fact, Professor Tangrowth explains that the Neo Dowsing Machine can be used to find a special location where a particularly valuable treasure awaits.

This location can be found in the Sparkling Skylands area, and you can track it down by using the Neo Dowsing Machine alongside a Pokémon with the Search specialty. Ideally, you should use one capable of flying, such as Drakloak, since you'll need to travel to the island located in the northwestern part of the area. Head to a small chamber where your Pokémon will stop and let you know that something is buried beneath its position:

Once you reach this spot, use Rock Smash to break the ground beneath the Pokémon. You'll eventually uncover a hidden chamber below containing a closed Shutter and a panel where you can scan your Pokédex to open the entrance. Bear in mind that you can find this place earlier in the game, but you won't be able to open the Shutter until you've completed the Pokédex.

If you're having trouble finding the room, check the screenshot above to see its exact location on the Sparkling Skylands map.

This is actually the game's secret developer room, as the office furniture inside—including desks and computers—appears to be a reference to the development team. You can also collect three yellow Poké Balls inside the room, which unlock the crafting recipes for a Printer, Shutter, and Card Reader.

Finally, don't forget to interact with the powered-on Printer mounted on the wall in this same room. Examining it will print out a special Diploma commemorating your achievement of completing the Pokédex.

You can hang this Diploma on a wall as a decorative item, and examining it will display the following message:

And that's everything! These are all the unique rewards you can obtain for completing Pokémon Pokopia's Pokédex. Now you know what you'll receive for achieving this milestone and where to find the secret room revealed by the Neo Dowsing Machine.
