More Spores for Hoppip is the name of the first special event scheduled to take place worldwide for a limited time and available free of charge in the Nintendo Switch 2 game Pokémon Pokopia. In this entry in our guide, we'll show you its availability dates and times, the exclusive Pokémon you can add to the Pokédex through their habitats, and the unique items you can obtain while the event is active.

More Spores for Hoppip event dates and times

These are the dates and times scheduled for the More Spores for Hoppip event in Pokémon Pokopia:

  • Start date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 5:00 a.m.
  • End date: Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 4:59 a.m.

How to get Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff

During the More Spores for Hoppip event in Pokopia, players can obtain a total of three new exclusive Pokémon: Hoppip and its two Evolutions, Skiploom and Jumpluff.

These Pokémon can, of course, appear in different habitats. However, it's worth pointing out that Hoppip can be encountered immediately when the event begins, without having to create its habitat first.

Pokémon Pokopia - How to get Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff

You'll find Hoppip wandering outside the Pokémon Center in any biome, but bear in mind that it will only appear in an area where you have already rebuilt the Pokémon Center. If you haven't done so yet, make sure to rebuild one so Hoppip can appear. You should also note that Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff cannot appear on multiplayer Cloud Islands.

After meeting Hoppip, it will move inside the Pokémon Center, where it sells exclusive event items in exchange for Cotton Spores, a material also associated with the event. Several of the items sold by Hoppip can be used to create the three habitats associated with this Pokémon and its Evolutions.

Pokémon Pokopia - Requirements for creating the Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff habitats

Therefore, if you want to obtain all three Pokémon, focus on creating the following habitats:

  • Yellow Carpet: can be created by placing Dandy Flowers x4 (it can attract Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff).
  • Field-trip Friends: can be created by placing a Flower Backpack x1, Hoppip Water Bottle x1, and Lunch Box x1 (it can only attract Skiploom).
  • Dandelion Lunchtime: can be created by placing Dandy Flowers x1, Lunch Box x1, Flower Cushion x1, and Flowery Table Setting x1 (it can only attract Jumpluff).

How to get Cotton Spores

As mentioned above, Cotton Spores are the special resource featured in the More Spores for Hoppip event. They can only be obtained during your visits to Dream Islands. If you haven't unlocked Drifloon yet or don't have any Dolls, check the related entry in our guide to learn how to travel to these islands.

Cotton Spores can be found on any Dream Island. Simply travel to one and you'll see them floating in various locations. Remember that if you want to purchase at least one of every exclusive item available during the event, you'll need to collect a total of 75 Cotton Spores.
