Although Pokémon Pokopia gives you an incredible amount of freedom and virtually endless possibilities, it also features a series of Important Requests that, in their own way, form a main story with a clear beginning and end. It's easy to lose track of this storyline while you're busy collecting Pokémon for your Pokédex and creating habitats, but the game does have a definite ending. Just in case you've missed it, this entry of our guide explains all the steps and requirements you need to meet to see it in your game.
To see the ending of Pokémon Pokopia's story, you specifically need to complete the mission called "Do the... Team Initiation Challenge?". This mission becomes available fairly early in the adventure when you interact with the mysterious tower on the beach in the Withered Wasteland. However, it will take you many hours to complete it in full.
To complete this request, you need to finish a total of nine different tasks, each of which asks you to hand over various resources and materials. Most of these are obtained in other areas of the game, including Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridges, and Sparkling Skylands.
This means you'll also need to make progress in other main missions to raise your Trainer Rank and unlock access to the remaining areas and biomes. At the very least, you'll therefore need to complete the missions "Yawn Up a Storm!" in the Withered Wasteland, "Brighten Things Up!" at Bleak Beach, and "Time to Party!" in Rocky Ridges. We also recommend completing the "Rebuild the Huge Building!" mission in Sparkling Skylands.
Likewise, the Important Requests related to rebuilding the Pokémon Centers and raising each area's Environment Level to 5 aren't strictly required per se to see the game's ending. However, completing them is still advisable, as doing so unlocks new items in the PC Shops that you'll eventually need to hand over during the tasks in the "Do the... Team Initiation Challenge?" mission.
If you're having trouble completing any of the mission's tasks, remember that our guide includes a dedicated page where we explain exactly what to do, step by step, so you can easily complete all of them.
Once you complete the request's ninth and final task, something will happen to the mysterious tower. We won't reveal exactly what it is here to avoid spoiling the story's conclusion, but it's enough to say that this triggers the ending sequence and leads into the game's credits, which also include a brief scene that wraps up the story.
After the credits, you'll of course be able to continue playing as normal. In fact, it's worth mentioning that you can now obtain Ditto's final transformation: Magnet Rise. Obviously, Pokopia never truly ends, but its central storyline can be considered complete at this point. There are no additional or secret endings, but if you want to see the game's proper ending for yourself, you now know exactly which requirements you need to meet.
