Pokémon Pokopia File Size Revealed; It Will Launch on a Game-Key Card for Nintendo Switch 2
A download card confirms that Pokémon Pokopia, the new life sim set in the Pokémon universe, won't take up much storage space on Switch 2 despite launching on a game-key card.
Pokémon Pokopia’s download size has been revealed ahead of its official launch on March 5. The information comes from a digital download card spotted in stores and shared on social media by specialist account @Genki_JPN.
According to the image on the card, the new game will take up approximately 10 GB on Nintendo Switch 2, which is a fairly modest amount. It is worth remembering that the physical edition of Pokémon Pokopia will come on a game-key card, making this decision all the more puzzling.
The 10 GB file size is small compared with major third-party releases from recent months, some of which have exceeded 100 GB, such as Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. This means you should have no trouble finding room for it on your new console.
A life sim set in the Pokémon universe
Pokémon Pokopia is a life simulation game in which we play as a Ditto transformed into a human, tasked with turning a ruined island into a habitable home for numerous Pokémon. Through building, decorating, and exploration, we will attract creatures to the area while uncovering what happened to the humans who mysteriously disappeared.
Its structure combines creative freedom with a steady stream of objectives. Although players can terraform the land, construct buildings, and decorate however they like, the game always provides clear goals set by Professor Tangrowth, along with daily challenges through the PokéLife system. The Pokémon that arrive at the settlement do more than expand the Pokédex: they also provide abilities such as Water Gun, Rock Smash, and Cut, which are needed to open up new areas and develop the island to your liking.
Multiplayer for up to four players, either locally or online, strengthens its cooperative focus by allowing users to share resources, explore new areas, and build large structures together.
