Here are all the safe codes and locations in Resident Evil 2 Remake, plus the rewards inside. Find weapon parts and upgrades to make Leon and Claire’s adventures much easier.

As you make your way through the story of Resident Evil 2 Remake, you'll come across all kinds of puzzles, obstacles, and locked areas standing between you and your escape. Here, we'll be focusing on the safes. To open these strongboxes, you need to turn a dial and stop on specific numbers. The combinations are the same for both characters, whether you're playing New Game or 2nd Run.
Remember that you'll come across three types of puzzles during the game:
Puzzles: the puzzles you'll encounter as you progress through the game normally.
Safes: a handful of locked safes that require number combinations.
Locks and Lockers: locks that use letter combinations and contain useful supplies.
Below, we'll show you the codes and combinations for every safe. They all work the same way: turn the dial left to the first number, right to the second, then left to the third before pressing the confirm button to open the safe. The number combinations are the same for both characters and scenarios, so it doesn't matter whether you're playing New Game or 2nd Run. There are only three safes in the entire game, all of which are detailed below. Bear in mind that these are different from the Portable Safes.
West Office Safe (1F)
Combination: Left 9. Right 15. Left 7.
When will you find it?: While completing the Find the 3 Medallions objective in the West Office and second floor section.
Where?: In the West Office on the first floor of the Police Station, inside the small office at the southern end of the room. There's no real trick to it: simply use the D-pad to turn the dial left and right until you reach the numbers shown above. Press confirm after reaching the final number.
Reward: you'll get a Hip Pouch to expand your inventory.
Waiting Room Safe (2F)
Combination: Left 6. Right 2. Left 11.
When will you find it?: While completing the Find the 3 Medallions objective in the West Office and second floor section.
Where?: In the Waiting Room, which you can reach by going up the stairs in the Police Station's Main Hall and heading east (the right-hand side of the map). The safe is behind the desk.
Reward: Inside, you'll find a handgun upgrade: the Muzzle Brake for Leon's Matilda, or the High-Capacity Mag for Claire's JMB Hp3.
Sewers Safe (Middle Level)
Combination: Left 2. Right 12. Left 8.
When will you find it?: While completing the Find the Plugs objective in the Save Your Companion section.
Where?: The safe is in the Treatment Pool Room. After lowering the bridge and crossing it, head to the southern side of the room to find it. The combination is written in chalk on the side of the safe itself.
