When playing Resident Evil 2 Remake, you may find yourself asking a couple of perfectly reasonable questions. If the game has two scenarios and two playable characters, how many endings does it have? Are there two endings? Are there four, one for each possible scenario?

From a story perspective, the game only has one ending. There are several differences between the two characters’ campaigns, but they share the same ending. The only additional content you can unlock is an extended ending, although it does not add much more to the story.
The only difference in the ending occurs when you complete a 2nd Run with either character. This alternate ending includes one final boss, Birkin’s final form, an organic mass that advances through the train carriage until it exposes its weak point.
Finally, in this extended ending, you will simply see Leon and Claire escaping the city with Sherry and emerging into the outside world. The characters exchange some friendly dialogue before the game ends.
Other than that, there are no further differences in what you will see: there is no post-credits scene or anything similar.
