Some weapons in Resident Evil 2 Remake can be fitted with custom parts that provide them with special effects. These are not merely cosmetic changes: they include extended magazines, laser sights, and more.

They all share a number of characteristics:

  • Weapon custom parts are found in the same locations for both characters.
  • The weapon parts you find depend on your character: you will not find parts for weapons your character cannot use.
  • Each part always indicates, in parentheses, which weapon it is compatible with to avoid confusion.
  • To equip a weapon part, simply combine it with the corresponding weapon.
  • If a part increases the number of inventory slots occupied by the weapon, it can be removed at any time by selecting the weapon in your inventory and choosing the final option.
