R.P.D. is the twelfth chapter or twelfth part of the story of Resident Evil Requiem. It begins after a short walk through the city centre. As usual, throughout this walkthrough we will provide directions to help you complete as much of the game as possible, avoiding spoilers wherever possible while ensuring that you obtain all collectibles, receive help with puzzles and more.
Years of therapy to overcome the trauma of Raccoon City, and here Leon is, back at the police station. His shrink must be fuming—or perhaps not, as they will probably be able to charge him for plenty more sessions. Approach the centre of the room, behind the counter, to trigger a cutscene. Once it ends, look northwest to find the R.P.D. Perimeter Report document on top of a crate.
Regardless of what the objective says, enter the West Office. You will find the Top-Secret Operation document on the desks. There is a locked locker on the western wall. Leave through the hallway to the northwest and continue northwest until you reach the Operations Room. You will find the Event Log document on the whiteboard.
Approach the rubble against the western wall to find a partially hidden Mr. Raccoon.
Now follow the hallway southwest, watching out for one unfortunate zombie. Have a look around and then head east-southeast, as though you were returning to the Main Hall. You will see a ladder beside the bars that you can lower with a single shot. From the Lounge, head west and follow the hallway to the S.T.A.R.S. Office.
Open the cabinet on the right to find the Treasure Hunt – Clue 2 document. You will find Barry’s Tasks on a table before the armoury. Then examine the jacket hanging on the wall between the desks to find the Treasure Hunt – Clue 1 photograph. There is also a briefcase that can be opened with the combination RRR. It contains the Unbridled Ambition Charm. Finally, search the office to the left of the entrance. There is a drawer you can open to find the Library Card document.
Head to the Library.
You will find the Hydraulic Jack here, as well as a Mr. Raccoon. It is hidden inside one of the compartments in the central bookcase. Look from the northern side of the Library towards its base to spot it among some books.
Now climb the ladder and cross the walkway. When you reach the other side, look at the bookcase on the right and you will be able to interact with a book. Opening it will give you the Photograph. Return to the Operations Room and this time look at the crate in one corner, beneath the television hanging from the ceiling.
Climb onto the crate and examine the monitor hanging from the ceiling to find the Locker Key. You can use it to open the locker on the western wall of the West Office on the ground floor. Inside you will find... well, the S.T.A.R.S. Emblem Charm and a few other things we will not mention. Incidentally, if you save your game, reload it and return to the Operations Room, you may see... something on the western wall.
Right, you can now raise the shutter in the southeastern corner—and the southwestern one, if you have not already done so.
Follow the hallway until a cutscene begins. At this point, there will be a section with different gameplay that we do not want to discuss in too much detail, so we will neither point out the objectives nor include any images that might reveal something. Everything will be fairly obvious at first, but after hiding beneath the table on the ground floor, they will be waiting for you in the hallway.
Back away, head upstairs and return downstairs when you see the door handle shaking. They will have left the ground-floor hallway, allowing you to cross it. Inside the office, turn right when you can to switch on a light and pull out a drawer, allowing you to reach the Trapdoor Key. Hide behind the crates in the northwestern corner and, when it is safe, head to the southwestern section of the office and climb down through the trapdoor. Follow the only available path and look behind the altar. A door will open, and there is a lever inside this small room that will open a gate in the Chapel. Open the first coffin to find the Toe Tag document.
Immediately afterwards, pull out a coffin and use it as a step to climb over the locked door. On the other side, you can collect a Fireplace Poker. You can use it to lower the ladder in the Chapel... if you hurry. Continue and, after opening the next door, collect the Series 60 Results document from the table directly ahead. You will find the New Researcher’s Notebook on another table in the same room.
Now leave through the nearby door and interact with the slide projector.
After regaining control of Leon, proceed along the hallway until that bastard turns up yet again. Run to the northern wall, climb the stairs and jump across to reach the eastern section of the first floor.
Head south along the hallway and retreat north when necessary. Oh, believe me, you will know when it is necessary. It will appear again in the office to the north, so turn around and head south again. This time, you will be able to cross the area and trigger a cutscene. Once it ends, look at the southeastern end of the walkway to find the City Brochure document.
You can now leave the police station through the hole in the wall northeast of the Main Hall. Once outside, head left, towards the west. You will find a ramp leading down to the police station garage.
Proceed carefully, as there are zombies and soldier zombies down here. In addition to several resource crates, you will find a Silver-Finish Scope for the Classic 70. You will also find the Teddy Bear Charm on the western wall, beside the driver’s door of the van that has crashed into it. Return to the street and head east to Kendo’s shop, the most famous gun dealer in the series. A cutscene will begin as you approach the rear exit.
Once it ends, collect the W870 Police from the shelf.
Do not head north. Open the storeroom door and turn left, passing through the open gate and into the alley. Look straight ahead and upwards as you walk to spot the final Mr. Raccoon in the area inside a window.
Now leave through the northern side of the storeroom and pass through a military checkpoint. You will find resources, a computer for saving your game and a Supply Box you can use—get rid of one of your two shotguns, and this is a good time to upgrade the Requiem as much as possible. After proceeding a short distance, a cutscene will begin and things will become... serious.
Leon has apparently forgotten what an explosion does to a T-103’s limiter, so he will now have to eliminate a Super Tyrant. Fortunately, this time you have your axe, which allows you to parry most attacks—provided it has not lost its durability. After two hits, you will have to sharpen the axe. The cars will not protect you, as the Tyrant will throw them at Leon. If it climbs onto one, quickly shoot it in the heart or it will leap at you. Once you have dealt enough damage, you can use the axe to perform a special attack.
In general, it is a matter of keeping the axe sharp and dodging the cars. The former is considerably easier than the latter, as it will effortlessly throw them into the air to drop them on top of you... and you will not see them coming. It is worth noting that if it manages to catch you with one of its charges, a QTE will begin. Do not fail it, or you will become tomorrow’s obituary.
On Normal difficulty, two critical hits with the axe—or an equivalent amount of damage—should be enough to finish it off. Use the Requiem, as the creature is practically unstoppable against anything else. Once it finally bites the dust, collect some resources from the area and continue until you reach the Abyss.
