ARK is the fourteenth chapter or fourteenth part of the story of Resident Evil Requiem. You will reach this strange location after crossing the Abyss. As usual, throughout this walkthrough we will provide directions to help you complete as much of the game as possible, avoiding spoilers wherever possible while ensuring that you obtain all collectibles, receive help with puzzles and more.
Follow the only available path and take note of the explosive barrels scattered around the corners and hallways. They do not bode well. Turn left as soon as you can to reach the Staff Room. Examine the screen on the wall to read the N0-AH Status Report document.
This room also contains resources, a save point and a Supply Box. Afterwards, head down the hallway to the east. If you look through the windows on the left, you will see something absolutely hilarious. A little farther ahead, on the right before the stairs, you will find another Mr. Raccoon.
Destroy it and head downstairs to pass through the door with the green light. You do not need to be an engineer to understand that green lights indicate unlocked doors, but you become Captain Obvious by trying to explain absolutely everything. After passing through the server room, collect an item worth credits in the next room and then interact with the monitors to trigger a cutscene. Things are about to become rather complicated.
Head outside and move to one of the corners to ambush our new friends. They will kill you almost instantly if they catch you, so use cover and the gas canisters to gain the upper hand.
Take your time and do not attack immediately. Hide and wait for them to move around so you can eliminate them from behind with the axe. You need to kill at least one of them this way or you will not stand a chance. The beams from their torches reveal their positions and, if you run into trouble, a point-blank shotgun blast should be enough, at least on Normal difficulty. The door will open once you have eliminated them, allowing you to enter through the door on the right.
Crouch behind the crates to your left. It is an ambush: there are four shooters at the far end, although only three are visible, as shown in the image below.
If you position yourself on top of the crates immediately to your left, equip the rifle and expose yourself as little as possible, you can use the scope to eliminate two of them. The third will retreat to the far end, while the fourth will remain hidden before changing position. Climb the ladders on your right, crouch and, once you reach the horizontal catwalk, locate one of them and shoot him. If you are lucky, the fourth soldier will not see you and you will also be able to eliminate him without any trouble.
Do not climb down, or at least do not do so recklessly. Descend from the western side of the catwalk and hide in the opening shown below.
As soon as you climb down, more soldiers will appear. From the position we have indicated, look south to spot one of those red canisters. Wait for a soldier to approach it, then shoot the canister to blind him, move closer and hit him with the axe. If you attack while "aiming" with the axe—using its heavy attack—you will stun him and can land another couple of blows to finish him off. There are two more soldiers, one of whom carries a shield. You can easily deal with the latter by parrying his shield bash and shooting him before he recovers.
Search the area thoroughly for items and then go through the northern door. The stairs on the left lead back to the Staff Room, so return there if necessary and then continue northeast towards the Entrance. Once you have climbed the stairs, turn right to enter the Visitors’ Room.
Inside this room, you will find several documents on the wall-mounted screens: the Raccoon City Bioweapons Report, Product Catalogue 1 (2026) and Product Catalogue 2 (2026). Collect a few items and continue east.
After watching a cutscene, you will enter a melee battle against the commander of the elite guards.
Begin by parrying one of his attacks, then perform a heavy attack with the axe by holding the aim button and pressing the melee attack button. If you land one more hit, you should be able to perform a melee finisher. Repeat this several times until you see a special attack sequence. From that point onwards, you will need to parry two consecutive attacks instead of one. Be extremely careful: if he throws a flash grenade or approaches from the side, you will have to complete a QTE or you will end up like everyone who ever faced HUNK. No, this is not HUNK, but he was almost certainly trained by him.
As the battle progresses, he will start using his submachine gun and fill the area with smoke. Take cover and wait for him to come after you again so that you can continue fighting at close range, which is much easier. Make sure you collect the Mortal Edge from the floor, then take a moment to consider whom you have just killed—or at least whom they want you to believe you have killed.
Collect the items in the area, climb the stairs and this time follow the hallway all the way to the end. After several cutscenes, we will return to Grace.
