Chapter 15 of Resident Evil 4 Remake has finally ended on a positive note—or something like that. One problem has already been removed from the equation... but there is still another bald guy (more or less), carrying a rather cool staff that looks like it came from a cross between a pound shop and a Lovecraftian nightmare. If you do not know what to get me for Christmas, one of those is always welcome. Take a look around the laboratory, where you will find resources and documents that provide context for what happened. Incidentally, A. W. is not who you probably think they are.
Head back and help Ashley climb onto the container so that she can lower the ladder for you. Once you cross the walkway, look up to spot a lantern. Shoot it to collect the final Velvet Blue.
Follow the only available path until you return to the Sanctuary. Eliminate the Novistadors and use the map to locate the path leading to the western side of the room, where you can collect the Iluminados Pendant. Now take the northern path at the junction to continue. Watch out for the camouflaged Novistadors beyond the door.
Shortly afterwards, you will reach the final treasure in the game, a Gold Ingot, as well as the final Merchant. Take this opportunity to buy anything you think you may need.
Continue forward to trigger a cutscene, after which the battle against the villain you have been waiting for will finally begin. This fight is relatively straightforward. The first thing you must do is shoot the eyes on the creature's legs.
Once you have destroyed enough eyes, the creature will collapse to the ground, allowing you to approach and stab it with your knife.
The enemy is fairly simple and predictable while on the ground, so we do not think there is any need to detail every attack. He will try to strike you with his legs, which you must avoid by moving out of the way or beyond their reach, and he also has one of those attacks that can be avoided by pressing Evade. He can also jump to close the distance, dealing damage if he lands on you. After taking enough damage, he will retreat to a distant tower and summon a swarm of Novistadors. Try to eliminate as many of them as possible from a distance before Saddler returns, as the combination of these distractions and Saddler himself can be dangerous.
When you are far away—and there will be a point when he moves away automatically—he will begin spraying a stream of black fluid similar to the one Salazar used. This can put you in a difficult position, as finding cover is tricky. Watch whether the stream is vertical, in which case you must run to either side, or horizontal, in which case you should crouch. Once you deal enough damage, a cutscene will play and he will destroy part of the floor, although you can defeat him before this happens. Another cutscene will play once you succeed.
During the final phase, you must shoot the obvious weak point while avoiding his attacks. It is simple: if the Evade prompt appears, press the button. If it does not, run sideways. Once you deal enough damage, you will be given a special weapon. Aim and fire. When the cutscene ends, follow the only available path and make sure to destroy the final Clockwork Castellan.
All that remains is to continue forward and complete the jet ski escape to finish the game.
