The Castle is the second major region in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Like the other two regions you'll explore, it contains plenty of collectibles. In this section, we'll show you where to find all the Castle's treasures.
There is 1 treasure in the Entrance area:
You can collect it in Chapter 7. This treasure is found right at the beginning, behind the room where the Merchant is waiting. Simply go around the courtyard and head down the alley to find the chest.
There is 1 treasure in the Castle Gate area:
You can collect it in Chapter 7. It is in the northwestern corner of the battlements.
To reach it, head west after raising the cannon. You can enter a courtyard, climb a ladder and easily make your way to the chest from there. It's basically right along the path you need to follow, so it's hard to miss.
There are 5 treasures in the Audience Chamber. Bear in mind that you won't be able to collect all of them on your first visit:
You can collect it in Chapter 7. It is inside the chest in the southeastern corner. To reach it, you need to boost Ashley up in the northeastern corner, just as you would to continue with the main objective. Once she opens the door for you, go behind the stairs to reach the chest.
You can collect it in Chapter 7. To reach this treasure, go through the opening in the northeastern corner of the chamber (you'll have opened the way while collecting the previous treasure) and immediately look to your left. You'll see a lantern hanging from the ceiling. Shoot it down, break the wooden boards with your knife and collect the treasure from the floor.
You can collect it in Chapter 7. Wait until the story takes you to the upper floor of the Audience Chamber. Once there, use the chandeliers to reach the southwestern corner. From here, you can drop into the locked section on the ground floor where the chest is located.
You can collect it in Chapter 9. It is inside Square Lock Box #02.
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is inside the locked drawer in the Audience Chamber, and you'll need a Small Key to open it.
There are 2 treasures in the Treasury. Yeah, that's pretty underwhelming. We're disappointed too:
You can collect it in Chapter 7. It is near the eastern wall, on top of a cabinet.
You can collect it in Chapter 7. It is in the corridor after the sword puzzle, and the chest is pretty much impossible to miss as you continue onward.
There are 2 treasures in the Wine Cellar:
You can collect it in Chapter 8. It is by the western wall of the Wine Cellar, the first area you visit during Chapter 8.
You can collect it in Chapter 9. You need to wait until you have completed the hedge maze and can return here with Ashley. You passed through this area in the previous chapter, but now you can boost her up so she can enter the room and open the door from the inside.
There are 2 treasures in the Bindery:
You can collect it in Chapter 8. It is inside the chest in the Bindery.
You can collect it in Chapter 8. It is inside the locked drawer by the eastern wall of the Bindery. You'll need a Small Key to open it.
There are 4 treasures in the Castle Battlements area:
You can collect it in Chapter 8. As you move forward, after activating the first two levers, you'll need to drop down and activate another lever. This leads to a corridor with some wooden boards you can climb and another lever on your left. Instead of activating it, keep going straight, climb onto the ledge on the left and drop down from its left side into the corridor below. The gate will be open, allowing you to reach the chest.
You can collect it in Chapter 8. When the armored giant appears on the battlements, head northwest and you can jump over the edge. Continue northwest to return to the first tower (you can open the portcullis by shooting the counterweight on its left). You'll see a ladder beside the gate that you can use to reach the top of the tower, where you'll find the treasure chest.
You can collect it in Chapter 8. When you need to head east while fleeing the giant on the battlements, make sure the sun-and-moon lever is set to the moon position. Just after the third tower, where you need to drop to the lower level, turn around and you'll see that the moon door is open. Go through it, activate the lever to open the sun door and drop down to land beside the treasure marker. Shoot the hanging lantern in the room to obtain the Ruby.
You can collect it in Chapter 9. You'll need a Small Key to open the locked drawer in the lower section of the cannon tower.
There is 1 treasure in the Courtyard (2, although one doesn't count):
You can collect it in Chapter 9. Simply head to the eastern side of the hedge maze and collect it from the chest. Use the map and you'll have no trouble reaching it.
You obtain it as part of the Jewel Thief request. It doesn't count as a treasure.
There are 2 treasures in the Grand Hall:
You can collect it in Chapter 9. It is in the Grand Hall itself, near the Merchant's shop. Shoot the lantern held by one of the statues to make the treasure fall to the floor.
You can collect it in Chapter 9. It is inside Square Lock Box #01.
There is 1 treasure in the Gallery:
You can collect it in Chapter 9. It is under the bridge. Simply open the chest beneath the structure after using the lever to raise the bridge.
There are 4 treasures in the Library:
You can collect it in Chapter 9. After obtaining the Bunch of Keys while playing as Ashley, head downstairs, then go toward the western wall and continue north. You can squeeze through an opening to reach the chest, which is opened with the second key on the key ring.
The treasure is picked up by Leon at the beginning of Chapter 10. Look in the southern part of the cage.
You can collect it in Chapter 9. After obtaining the Salazar Family Insignia, you'll need to reach the upper floor of the Library, either by using the elevator or taking the hidden staircase. The treasure is inside a locked chest in the middle of the room, between the bookcases. Use the fourth key on the key ring to open it.
The treasure is picked up by Leon at the beginning of Chapter 10. Look in the southern part of the cage.
It is found inside Square Lock Box #03. Despite being a weapon, it counts as a treasure.
It is found inside Square Lock Box #04.
There is 1 treasure in the Mausoleum:
You can collect it in Chapter 9. After obtaining the Bunch of Keys while playing as Ashley, search the corner of the room before the stairs when you reach the Mausoleum. Use the first key on the key ring to open the chest.
The treasure is picked up by Leon at the beginning of Chapter 10. Look in the southern part of the cage.
There are 2 treasures in the Ballroom:
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 10. Head to the Ballroom's ground floor and look beneath the rubble in the middle. Shoot the hanging lantern to reveal the treasure.
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 10. Go around the Ballroom's ground floor via the western side, head north and then east to find the chest.
There is 1 treasure in the Depths:
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 10. In the flooded area, head north when you reach the northwestern section. There is a side passage that leads to the treasure.
There are 2 treasures in the Underground Laboratory (3, although one doesn't count):
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 10. It is hanging from a lantern in the tunnel after the flooded area.
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 10. It is in the tunnel that opens after you restore the power.
You obtain it by defeating Verdugo. It doesn't count as a treasure, but it is a unique item worth 30,000 pesetas.
There are 2 treasures in the Mines:
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 11. It is in the northwestern section of the area where Salvador and Bella appear, the two chainsaw-wielding Ganados. Shoot the hanging lantern to make the treasure fall.
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 11. It is in the same room as the previous treasure. After lowering the bridge, simply take the path leading east before reaching the dynamite.
There is 1 treasure at the Stopover:
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 11. It is beside the partially ruined structure overlooking the area, so it's hard to miss.
There is 1 treasure in the Hive:
You can collect this treasure during Chapter 11. Simply take the western path through the cave and open the chest.
There is 1 treasure in the Throne Room:
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is inside Square Lock Box #05.
There are 5 treasures in the Clock Tower:
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is inside a chest in the southwestern section of the ground floor.
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is found as you climb the stairs in the blocked-off southwestern section, just as the statue starts breathing fire. Shoot the lantern hanging from the ceiling to collect it.
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is right beside the lever that sends spiked balls rolling down the stairs. Go to the right of the staircase and collect the item from the chest on the scaffolding.
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is immediately to the left of the elevator lever, before you activate it and after dropping down from the lever that releases the spiked balls.
You can collect it during Chapter 12. It is inside a lantern in the area with the wooden planks. Shoot the lantern to make it fall, then pick it up.
You can collect it during Chapter 12. You can pick it up after defeating Salazar.
