Resident Evil 4 Remake gives you access to more than 20 different weapons, not counting grenades.
Weapons and attachments can be stored, but their ammunition cannot.
Weapons can be upgraded by speaking to the Merchant.
Once you reach a certain point in the story, you can unlock an exclusive upgrade for each weapon. To purchase it, you must either buy all of the weapon's other upgrades or use an Exclusive Upgrade Ticket, which can be purchased with Spinels.
Each weapon has its own unlock requirements, all of which are explained below.
If you sell a weapon, its selling price will be close to the cost of the weapon plus its upgrades. However, bear in mind that you will still lose some money and will have to buy it back without any upgrades.
No particular set of weapons is clearly better than the rest—it all comes down to personal preference. For example, when comparing the Matilda and Blacktail, you might find the ability to fire three-round bursts less useful than raw stopping power.
