Once Chapter 10 of Resident Evil 4 Remake is over, the possibility of curing yourself will seem closer—or at least, that is what our new friend appears to have implied. However, the scene at the end of the previous chapter makes it clear that we will soon face someone fearsome. As soon as you begin, check the map, collect the resources and head south to reach the Merchant. Earn an S rank in Shooting Range 3 before continuing.
Then climb the ladder and follow the tracks northwest. Continue along the only available path until you encounter a group of Ganados. Be careful, as they include Dr Salvador and one of the Bella Sisters, the chainsaw-wielding Ganados. Take advantage of the dynamite-wielding enemies to kill several of them at once. Once the area is safe, open the map and you should see two treasures. For now, you can reach the Sapphire in the northwest.
Now climb the ladder to the south to reach a control room where you can activate a lever. This mechanism will lower the bridge in the northern area, allowing you to continue and collect the Golden Hourglass treasure along the way.
Collect the Dynamite and return to the blocked tunnel to clear it with the explosives in a suitably subtle fashion. Shortly after continuing, you will face two giants. If you have a fully upgraded handgun, simply keep firing, as Luis will constantly provide you with ammunition. You can also use the lever in the centre of the room to eliminate one of them instantly, but that takes all the fun out of it, does it not? After eliminating the first, keep dodging the armoured giant until Luis leaves.
When your companion returns, you must stand beneath him so that the giant approaches you. After the cutscene, you can shoot the dynamite and then finish it off with your weapons, just as you did with the other one. Both giants will drop jewels that you can collect.
After defeating the giants, give Luis a boost on the southeastern side. Shortly afterwards, you will encounter a section on rails—literally. You will ride in a minecart, wielding a Red9 with infinite ammunition, and must follow Luis's instructions to lean from side to side, switch tracks or shoot debris, all while preventing enemies from attacking you.
When you reach the Stopover, eliminate the enemies and remember to collect the Flagon treasure and destroy Clockwork Castellan #11, which you will find on the southern wall of the structure in the centre.
Up the stairs, you will find another minecart section. You already know what to do. During this second part, be careful because a Dr Salvador will pull alongside you at certain points. You must shoot him—preferably in the head—until he moves away. Otherwise, he will inflict enormous damage on the minecart and may even destroy it. When the ride ends, you will find yourself in the Hive. Unsurprisingly, there are Novistadors here.
Be extremely careful as you advance, as you must watch out for the camouflaged creatures. Look for strange shapes on the walls, rocks whose colour differs from the surrounding ground... you know the drill.
As you climb along the eastern side, you can activate the Insect Hive request. When you reach the northeastern area after climbing the slope, look beneath the hive in the central area and you will see several yellow masses: these are the hive entrances you must destroy for the request. Shoot the slightly brighter section of each yellow mass to destroy it.
You can shoot all four entrances from the northeastern ledge. To see the final one, move to the westernmost side of the area and look up. Once inside the cave, do not forget to head west and collect the Gold Bar (L) before continuing. There is a small detour to the west along the ledge that you can access by crouching. It leads back to the Merchant before you continue south towards the lift.
When you reach the top, a cutscene will play... and the battle you have been waiting for will begin.
This battle revolves around parrying, dealing damage with your knife and performing finishing attacks. Be especially careful when Krauser jumps over you to attack from behind. Do not try to defend blindly, as you cannot. You must also pay attention to the Evade prompt: you will need to dodge certain attacks rather than block them. Take advantage of finishing attacks whenever you deal enough damage.
Continue fighting and attacking until the battle ends automatically, taking you into Chapter 12.
