We show you how to solve the subway station monument puzzle in Resident Evil 3 Remake and where to find the Red, Green, and Blue Jewels to claim the hidden rewards.
How do you solve the jewel puzzle at the subway monument?
Shortly after starting our adventure in Resident Evil 3 Remake, just before leaving the subway station, we will come across a strange object with three slots in the Redstone Street subway safe room. It is marked as the "Monument" on the map, but we are going to call it the "Jewel Puzzle", as that is probably what most players will call it.
To solve this puzzle, you must first find three colored jewels. These are key items scattered around the map that you will need to collect in order to complete the puzzle and claim the rewards hidden inside.
Where can you find the Red, Blue, and Green Jewels?
Red Jewel: you will find it in the Moon's Donuts safe room, inside the donut shop at the bottom of the stairs on Redstone Street. Examine the Fancy Box to obtain it. This jewel cannot be found here on Nightmare or Inferno difficulty.
Blue Jewel: this one is also on Redstone Street. On the left-hand side of the main street, you will see a building with a red storefront and a sign reading "Supermarket." Wait until you have obtained the Bolt Cutters, then use them to open the door. Inside, you will find another Fancy Box containing the jewel.
Green Jewel: once again, this jewel can be found on Redstone Street, this time inside Toy Uncle. It is the blue building on the same street as the Supermarket. Once you have the Lock Pick, enter through the southeast corner to find another Fancy Box. You will not be able to get inside until you have found the Lock Pick.
When you return to the subway and place the jewels in the corresponding slots on the monument puzzle, you will receive the following rewards:
Completing this puzzle will also unlock the record Power Stones, which rewards you with 600P to spend in the in-game Shop after completing the game, as well as a piece of concept art.
Where are the jewels on Nightmare and Inferno difficulty?
On Nightmare and Inferno difficulty, the jewels are found in different locations. You will find the Blue Jewel in the southwestern alley behind the donut shop, while the Green Jewel is inside the Pharmacy. The Red Jewel can be found next to one of the switches in the power substation, in the area where the Drain Deimos appear.
Green Jewel on Nightmare: it can be found inside the Pharmacy.
Blue Jewel on Nightmare: it can be found in the dead-end alley to the southwest, behind the donut shop.
Red Jewel on Nightmare: it can be found next to one of the switches in the power substation.
The Red Jewel is the only one that may give you trouble on Nightmare difficulty. The user Samwise has kindly provided its exact location, which you can see in the image above.
