Besides the safes, Resident Evil 3 Remake also features other locked containers and doors. These include lockers, doors, and cases secured with padlocks, as well as ID-locked cases. You’ll need the Lock Pick to open the former and an ID Card for the latter. There are also combination locks. They’re pretty straightforward, and the two in the game use the same codes as the locks found in the same locations in Resident Evil 2 Remake. To make things easy, this section will show you where to get the Lock Pick and ID Card, as well as the locations of every case, locker, and door secured by a padlock or ID lock, plus both combination lockers.
How Do You Get the Lock Pick?
You’ll automatically obtain the Lock Pick as part of the story when you reach the Subway Power Substation. After leaving the safe room, you’ll find a Case. Examine it from your inventory, rotate it until you can see the front, and open it to get the item. Once you’ve completed the game, you can buy the Lock Pick from the Shop, and it will be waiting in the Item Box when you start a new game. However, you can still pick it up from its original location.
How Do You Get the ID Card?
The ID Card is used to open several locked cases while playing as Carlos. You can get it as soon as you arrive at the Police Station. Kill the zombie by the entrance and pick up the card from its body. Unlike the Lock Pick, this item is optional. On the highest difficulty settings, the zombie at the entrance won’t be carrying the card. Instead, head down the stairs right next to it and pick it up from the small room in the passageway.
