The Resident Evil 3 Remake demo is now available worldwide for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This trial version provides a short burst of action to help players become familiar with Capcom's reimagining of the classic game, but it also includes 20 hidden collectibles scattered throughout the demo. Finding all of them will unlock a special reward.
To make sure you don't have any trouble locating them, this guide shows the exact location of all 20 collectibles.
You will receive 100 points for Capcom's Ambassador Program, provided your game account is linked to RE.net. You can join the Ambassador Program until April 3 through this link. If you meet the requirements, the Ambassador Program may allow you to participate in playtests for certain games or access exclusive promotional campaigns.
As soon as the demo begins, go back inside the subway car and continue to the far end to emerge on the opposite side of the boxes on the platform. When you reach the end of the car, look across the tracks to see the Mr. Charlie figure beside a pillar.
You will receive a radio call as you begin climbing the stairs. Immediately afterward, you will reach the subway entrance with the turnstiles. The figure is on the table, and you can destroy it with the Knife.
As soon as you leave the subway, there is an ambulance with its rear door open ahead and to the right. The figure is inside the vehicle, and this time you will need to shoot it.
After the cutscene in which the zombies break through the fence, go down the stairs and enter the green building at the far end, Moon's Donuts. Look behind the counter to find a microwave. The Mr. Charlie figure is between the microwave and the wall.
Outside the building containing the previous collectible, look to the left of the stairs you just descended to see some scaffolding. The Mr. Charlie figure is at the base of the scaffolding.
After leaving Moon's Donuts, you will enter an alley. If you check the map, you will see one staircase on the left and another on the right. Go up the staircase on the right-hand side of the map to reach a storeroom containing a zombie and a safe. Search the shelves to find the collectible.
From the previous location, leave through the other door, cross the walkway, and continue until you reach the rooftop. You can see the giant version of Mr. Charlie on one side of the area, while the smaller collectible figure is sitting on top of one of the nearby machines.
Immediately after finding the previous collectible, continue across the rooftop. Beyond the two zombies and the red barrel, you will reach a ladder leading down. From the top of the ladder, you can see the Mr. Charlie figure on a car hood.
After climbing down the ladder from the previous rooftop, backtrack. Return through the room containing the safe and the hallway. As soon as you step onto the walkway, there are two Mr. Charlie figures nearby. The first is on the left, on top of the purple and yellow awning.
The other figure is on the beams above your head.
After going down the previous stairs, look to the left to see a pharmacy. The Mr. Charlie figure is on one of the shelves at the back.
After clearing the previous area, return to the rear exit of Moon's Donuts and use the Bolt Cutters found in its kitchen to open the gate leading west, at the point marked in the image below. While passing through the alley, look to the left after walking past some barrels. You will find the figure beside a machine.
With the Bolt Cutters in your possession, return to the main street where you used the stairs leading down to Moon's Donuts. Check the map and you will see a marked door on the western side. The building has a red sign reading "Supermarket." Cut the chain, go inside, and look to the right to see the Mr. Charlie figure on the counter.
In the alley behind Moon's Donuts, go up the stairs and enter through the door marked "Kite Bros. Railway." Continue to the end of the hallway to reach a room containing a Shotgun that can be obtained with the Bolt Cutters. Immediately after entering, look to the left to see the Mr. Charlie figure on the bottom shelf of a cabinet.
After collecting the Fire Hose from Kite Bros. Railway, Nemesis will appear when you return to the main street. To make this collectible appear, you must knock Nemesis to the ground several times at a specific location. The location is marked in the image above: the police car beside the Supermarket. Keep knocking Nemesis down near the car until its door opens. A zombie will emerge, allowing you to shoot the Mr. Charlie figure inside. It is worth noting that some players claim you only need to knock Nemesis down three times for the door to open. This didn't work for us. We knocked him down as many as twelve times without being killed, and the door only opened after we knocked him down three times near the car.
After using the Fire Hose in the alley, don't move forward or the demo will end. Once the fire is extinguished, backtrack and find the zombie shown below, which wasn't there before, behind the police car where you found the previous collectible.
After killing it, return to the pharmacy where you found Collectible #11 and go to the back. The police officer's corpse will no longer be lying on the shelf, and another Mr. Charlie figure will have appeared in its place.
This collectible is found after using the Fire Hose, which you obtain inside Kite Bros. Railway and could hardly have missed while searching for the previous collectible. Be careful: moving too far forward will end the demo.
It is inside the police car at the southern end of the alley. The problem is that the car door will only open after you have performed 25 perfect dodges during the playthrough. Dying apparently doesn't reset the counter, but try to farm the dodges against a lone zombie before Nemesis appears.
On the main street, find the Toy Uncle store. It has a giant Mr. Charlie figure on the roof, so it is impossible to miss. Approach the window and stare at the Mr. Charlie poster for at least ten seconds while keeping your weapon raised and aimed at it. Then head toward the stairs leading to Moon's Donuts.
Look closely at the bottom of the giant donut sign and you will see "something". It is the Mr. Charlie figure you are looking for.
This is by far the most devious collectible. You need to collect the High-Grade Gunpowder from the pharmacy and the Supermarket, then combine them. This will create Magnum Ammo. Return to Mikhail and he will tell you that he has sent Carlos somewhere else. Now return to the rooftop where you found Collectible #7, beyond the room containing the safe. The Mr. Charlie figure is near the ladder.
