ALL Resident Evil 3 Remake Puzzles and Solutions

Throughout Resident Evil 3 Remake, you'll come across a number of obstacles that will stop you from progressing. In most cases, you'll simply need to find a key item to open a particular door, but sometimes you'll have to solve a small puzzle or challenge. They don't appear very often, but here we'll help you solve them all. Bear in mind that, in addition to the regular puzzles, there are also safes and padlocks.

Jewel puzzle

You'll find it Downtown, in the Redstone Street Subway Station safe room. It's marked as "Monument" on the map, but we're going to call it the "Jewel Puzzle", as that's probably what most players will call it. It's in the subway station safe room you leave through at the beginning of the game, next to the Item Box. To solve it, you need to use three key items:

• Fancy Box 1: in the Moon's Donuts safe room, the donut shop at the bottom of the stairs on Redstone Street. Examine the Fancy Box you find there to get the Red Jewel. It cannot be obtained in Nightmare or Inferno mode.
• Fancy Box 2: on Redstone Street, on the left-hand side of the main road, there's a building with a red upper section and a sign that says "Supermarket". Wait until you get the Bolt Cutters to open the door. Inside, you'll find another Fancy Box containing the Blue Jewel.
• Fancy Box 3: once again on Redstone Street, this time inside Toy Uncle. It's the blue building on the same street as the Supermarket. Enter through the southeast corner once you have the Lock Pick and you'll find another Fancy Box containing the Green Jewel.

Placing the jewels in the monument will earn you the Tactical Stock (Shotgun), a Hand Grenade and a Hip Pouch.

Substation circuit breakers

This puzzle simply involves finding the four circuit breakers in the substation while watching out for the Deimos—those disgusting cockroach-like monsters. The best route is to head to number 1, then number 2, run to number 3, climb the ladder next to the third circuit breaker, cross the platform and activate number 4. Bear in mind that it takes a few seconds to flip each switch, and if a Deimos attacks you, the process will be interrupted.

Control Room puzzle

When you return Downtown after restoring the power, you'll have to use a series of switches to set the route to Fox Park. The solution to the subway route puzzle is as follows:

• RE-01
• FA-02
• RA-03
• SA-02
• FO-01

Safety Deposit Room keypad

An old friend from the Police Station that we already saw in the Resident Evil 2 remake makes a return, although it's a little simpler this time. There are no missing keys, so you only need to enter the following combinations:

• 104: Battery (key item).
• 106: Assault Rifle Ammo.
• 109: Hand Grenade.

Underground Storage fuses

Shortly after entering the hospital's underground facility, you'll need to find three fuses to continue. Here's how it works: the video is above, while the map and instructions are below. Bear in mind that the area is crawling with enemies, and there are also several items you may want to pick up along the way.

• Raise the hydraulic lift ahead of your starting position, at the far end on the right, to find the first Fuse.
• Climb down the ladder next to the fuse, head south-southeast and make your way through the shelves.
• Do not lower the hydraulic lift. Go up the stairs, cross over it, activate another hydraulic lift and head down to find the second Fuse.
• Backtrack and you'll see a door at the top of the stairs. Go through the corridor, turn left, climb down the ladder and you'll find the third Fuse.
• From here, climb the ladder and return to the elevator to use all three fuses.

Vaccine synthesis

In NEST 2, after placing the Vaccine Base in the machine, you'll need to solve a ratio puzzle to complete it. The solution is as follows:

• Left: MID.
• Center: HIGH.
• Right: LOW.
