After the brutal encounter with Nemesis in Clock Tower Plaza, Carlos takes control once again. The objective is clear: we need to prevent Jill from succumbing to the infection. The answer may lie with Dr. Bard, who claims to be the only person capable of producing a vaccine for the T-virus.
As soon as you begin, you will see some Assault Rifle Ammo in front of you. Inside Reception, you will find more Assault Rifle Ammo and a First Aid Spray. Reorganize your inventory using the item box in case you are carrying too much. Leave through the northeastern exit and continue until you find two zombies. Be careful: another zombie is behind the counter in the corner and will get up when you approach. Another will rise on the left, while a female zombie will enter through the door at the back. The one leaning against the wall is also an enemy. That's six zombies to eliminate, so be careful.
Once the room is clear, collect the Red Herb from the counter, take note of the padlocked door near the entrance, and pick up the Spencer Memorial Pamphlet beside it. Continue into the next hallway and go east. There is only a padlocked case to the west. You will soon find a Mr. Charlie.

Upon entering the next area, collect the Tape Player from the counter, read the Nurse's Journal: Sept. 25 on the same counter, and pick up the Green Herb before passing through the only open door. You will see three zombies ahead and another lying on the floor beside you. You don't need to worry about the one behind the glass. At the far end, you will see a crate, but the body on the stretcher is also a zombie. The crate contains Handgun Ammo, while the table beyond the zombie banging on the glass holds Assault Rifle Ammo. Continue through the only open door.
You will find yourself back in the hallway behind Reception, but on the opposite side. There are some stairs to your right and a door to your left. Go up the stairs, as the door is locked.
You don't need to be a genius to know that the corpse means trouble. Be careful when you open the next door, as the corpse in front of you is a zombie. Once you have dealt with it, look beside the door to find another Mr. Charlie.

Go through the other door on the Roof to return to the hallway. There is a bed beside you with some Handgun Ammo. Go through the door in the northeastern corner to reach the Hospital's second safe room. Inside, you will find Handgun Ammo in one corner, the Nurse's Journal: Sept. 27 on a shelf to the right of the item box, a Green Herb beside the typewriter, and Assault Rifle Ammo on another shelf. Immediately after leaving the room, you will see the Hospital Map on the wall to your left. We are going to head southwest toward the area marked "Linen Room".
As you approach along the hallway, you will see a broken window, some blood, and yellow tape. Jump through the window to land in part of the first-floor Courtyard and collect the Tactical Grip (Assault Rifle).
From here, you can jump across the divider to reach the other side of the Courtyard. You will find a Green Herb and the Locker Room Key. A little farther ahead, you will see more yellow tape marking some broken glass. Collect the Assault Rifle Ammo from the stretcher, open the door, and go back upstairs. Return to the southwestern corner. You'll probably change your mind along the way, but that doesn't matter: we told you to head toward the Linen Room. Collect the Assault Rifle Ammo beside the door and do not jump through the window at the far end, as it simply leads back to the Courtyard. Turn around and enter the Nurses' Station.
The doors leading to the Sickroom won't open until you move behind the counter. Be careful because, in addition to the three zombies emerging through the doors, another one will get up behind the counter. You will find the Note about a Tape Recording on the counter. The safe has a simple combination: 9 left, 3 right. Inside, you will find the Dual Magazine (Assault Rifle). Now enter the Sickroom. The corpse on the floor is a zombie, obviously. Inside the room, you will find Assault Rifle Ammo, a Hand Grenade, and a Green Herb. There is also a Mr. Charlie inside the trash can beside the southern door.

Collect everything, return to the main hallway, and head toward the Staff Room to the east.
After being scared half to death when the doors open, continue forward. The corpses won't get up. Search the area to find another padlocked locker, the Nurse's Journal: Sept. 29 on a table, some Assault Rifle Ammo, and the Administration Office Note beside the door at the far end. Use the key to open the Locker Room door. Inside the lockers, you will find a Flash Grenade, the Hospital ID Card, and something else.
Return the way you came and, after the cutscene, open fire on the monster. Keep one thing in mind: it can kill you instantly. Not every attack is fatal, but the throat-slashing attack will kill you even at full health. What a charming creature. Oh, and you will need to fire more than an entire Assault Rifle magazine into its head to bring it down. Wonderful. If you can shoot it directly in the forehead, you will break open its head and expose its most vulnerable point. Fire in short bursts whenever it changes position and you may avoid an unpleasant surprise. Well, another one. You may want to avoid using the Hand Grenade. In fact, you can dodge the creature and escape. If you move quickly through the hallway, it won't catch you.
Return to the Nurses' Station and use the ID Card in the southwestern corner to access a hallway leading to the Linen Room. Kill the zombie in front of you as soon as you enter. There is a locked locker and some Assault Rifle Ammo on the left side of the room. A Red Herb is in the central hallway, while another zombie is waiting at the far end. Kill it. You can now unlock the door leading back to the main hallway... but you surely know where you really need to go.
Yes, you need to enter the Treatment Room, where you previously saw two Hunters while crossing the hallway. This time, we recommend going inside, performing a couple of fancy moves, and trying to kill both with the Hand Grenade: instant frog mince. If they survive, finish them with the Assault Rifle. Then collect the Audiocassette Tape and Assault Rifle Ammo. Return to the first floor by jumping through the window outside the Linen Room. Move quickly and enter the Operating Room to temporarily avoid the zombies.
Move quickly inside the room and collect the Green Herb, Flash Grenade x3, Hand Grenade x2, several packs of Assault Rifle Ammo, and some Handgun Ammo. There is also a note behind the stretcher called Lost Items. You should be able to collect everything while using the stretcher to run circles around the zombies and keep them from reaching you. Break the crate inside the glass-walled room they emerged from to obtain Handgun Ammo. Take note of the other padlocked locker. Once you return to Laboratory Reception, combine the Tape Player with the Audiocassette Tape and use it on the intercom.
As soon as you enter, you will see a Green Herb on the other side of the table. To your left are some Assault Rifle Ammo and Handgun Ammo. Go around the room to trigger a cutscene. You will find the Banquet Invitation beside the corpse. Continue around the room to collect the Green Herb and more Assault Rifle Ammo. Then examine the computer beside the door at the back to read the Email from Nathaniel Bard and trigger another cutscene.
Open the nearby door to obtain the Vaccine Sample.
That's all there is to it: return to the entrance, interact with Jill, and use the Vaccine Sample from your inventory. If that sounds too easy, it's because it won't be. A Hunter will appear when you leave the Laboratory. If you move quickly, you can get through the door into the hallway and then reach Reception before it catches you. You will be safe once you reach the lobby. Then, as we said, use the vaccine on Jill.
After the cutscene, save your game and take all your weapons out of the item box. The objective is simple: kill every zombie that enters using your entire arsenal. Save one Hand Grenade and use the resources found inside the drawers. You can shoot the generators to stun the enemies. When the lights go out, a Hunter will break through the door behind the counter. Throw the Hand Grenade to get rid of it, enter the room, and collect the Hip Pouch. Then throw a Flash Grenade and open the map. You should see an exclamation mark in the corner of this room labeled "Breaker."
Before the zombies recover from the flash, activate the breaker and collect as many items as possible before returning to the lobby. A tentacle zombie will eventually appear. Throw a Hand Grenade to kill it, as it is far more dangerous than all the other enemies combined. After that, another Hunter and another tentacle zombie will appear. After the cutscene, throw a Flash Grenade, collect the Detonator if you haven't already done so, and attach it to the C4. Hide inside the room where you found the Hip Pouch and throw a couple of Flash Grenades to prevent the enemies from approaching until the countdown ends.
After the cutscene, it will be time to explore the Hospital again, but this time as Jill.
