Unfinished Business is the section of our walkthrough that, once you begin Act III of Hell is Us and use the four Keystones at the Lymbic Forge, will cover everything left to complete before the end of the game. Bear in mind that this section assumes you’ve followed the walkthrough up to this point and collected every Glyph, piece of defensive gear, Relic and collectible, as well as completing all the relevant Timeloops, Mysteries and Good Deeds. Otherwise, you may run into inconsistencies, so it’s best to check each of those sections individually.
For those of you who’ve made it this far with us, we’ll go through each area one by one, from Senedra to Auriga, taking care of any unfinished business.
First of all, there’s an achievement or trophy for closing every Timeloop and eliminating every enemy in each region. Enemies stop spawning once you close a region’s Timeloops, but we can’t help you locate every last one, as doing so would be logistically impossible. You’ll know you’ve eliminated every creature in a region when its information on the APC map displays the message Threats: Clear. Otherwise, you’ll see an indicator showing the tier of the remaining enemies: I, II or III.
The tier can give you a clue about which areas still contain enemies. Tier I refers to areas visited earlier in the game, while Tier II enemies appear in more advanced locations. It’s unlikely that you’ll have any Tier III enemies left. Make sure you clear every area.
From the APC, head up the slope and enter the ruins on the right to find the Lymbic Door – Senedra Hilltop. You should already have the rods needed to open it.
Go through the tunnel opened by the door to reach the final Timeloop, located in Senedra Forest. The last Guardian will also be here, so defeating it should allow you to close the Timeloop. Besides closing it, you can collect the Rearguard drone module, the Ancient Scroll and General Firion’s Journal from this room.
Clear the area and travel to the Acasa Marshes.
There are two Mysteries left to complete in the marshes. Start by finding the drunk soldier in the courtyard with tables south-southwest of the APC. Give him the Bottle of Mead – Full you collected at Lake Cynon when you went to open the Lymbic Forge.
He’ll give you the Key – Jova Office. You can use it to open the door to Vaas’ office, located up the stairs beside the lookout post where the captain used to be.
To use the key, go around the house and climb onto the roof. Once you reach the other side of the attic, drop down onto the lower balcony and open the door using your new key. Inside the room, you’ll find the Prison Manifest, the Recording – Vaas’ Plan, the Baseball Cap – Sabinian and the Collar of Grief – Bargaining.
Now head to the southeastern side of the marsh, towards the entrance to the abbey tunnel. If you’ve forgotten how to get there, follow the bonfires. Instead of entering the tunnel, look northeast, on the opposite side from the tunnel entrance, to spot some stairs leading to a cave.
You’ll reach a room where you can use the Key – Rustic from the Safekeeping Mystery. This completes the Mystery and rewards you with The Panoptic Eudemon Relic. Clear the area and move on to the next region.
In this region, head to the Francis’ Church Timeloop. Search among the remains of the wall beside the statues to find a chest that can be opened using the Key – Barrel, completing the Pilgrimage Mystery.
This will be the final Mystery. You’ll receive some Tuning Stones and the Lymbic Slivers – Enhanced Glyph. While you’re in the region, go and speak to Gildas to claim his final rewards for closing Timeloops.
You’ve now completed every side activity, with the exception of clearing all enemies from every area other than Lake Cynon, where you’ll still have some enemies left to eliminate as part of the story. When you return to the APC, speak to Tania and have her research every item. You’ve collected them all, so several achievements or trophies should unlock. Technically, you’re only missing one baseball cap, which is located in the game’s final area: the Eye of God.
