While exploring Hadea in Hell is Us, you'll encounter plenty of threats. To protect yourself from some of them—particularly the enemies you'll have to fight—you'll need to fight back with your weapons and, of course, use defensive gear that provides additional advantages. These pieces offer benefits ranging from increased stats to special effects, some of which remain active at all times while others only trigger under specific circumstances. This section of the guide explains how to obtain every piece of armor. Remember that you can equip two pieces at once and combine their effects.
The stats and attributes of defensive gear can be improved by increasing its Grade. To do so, you first need to unlock the option to upgrade weapons, which happens as part of the story. Then, speak to Victor at his forge on the northern street of Jova in the Acasa Marshes, select Craft and choose Infuse Defensive Gear. If you have the required materials, you'll be able to upgrade your defensive gear.
Bear in mind that all the stats listed here are the item's values when first obtained, although every piece can be upgraded to Grade 4.
