
Among the many collectibles you can find in Hell is Us are NPCs (non-player characters). Strange as it may sound, finding some of these characters and exhausting all their dialogue options counts towards your collectibles and is required for 100% completion. Bear in mind that several of them are missable, so if you don't exhaust each character's dialogue options at the time specified below, they may disappear for good.
You'll find Ernest Caddell (Old Farmer) in Senedra Forest. After you finish following the path, you'll reach the house at the end.
Enter the basement beside the save point to speak with him.
This soldier is in Senedra Forest. He can be found behind the APC you need to locate to progress through the story.
Another soldier, this time found at the entrance to Jova, in the Acasa Marshes. When you reach the save point beyond the swamp, look to the right to see a house with its lights on.
Head towards that house and look for the small tent opposite its entrance. The character using the binoculars is Vaas.
You'll find this priest in Jova, in the Acasa Marshes. From the military base where Captain Vaas is located, go around the building to the north and follow the road. It won't be long before you spot the character tied to a post beside a mural. He's hard to miss.
She is in Jova, in the Acasa Marshes. From Captain Vaas's position at the entrance to the village, look south to see a ladder beside the "OUR TIME WILL COME" graffiti.
Climb the ladder and go around the building in front of you on the left to find an entrance to the house. Head upstairs, then climb the ladder leading into the loft. You'll find Rebecca up there in the attic.
You'll find Victor when you go to cross the tunnel in the Acasa Marshes as part of your main objective. He's the man who calls out to you from the maintenance room, so he's impossible to miss.
You'll encounter this character as part of the main storyline in the Vyssa Hills. He is northeast of the Knight of Grief statue. Follow the sound of gunfire and you'll find him beside the flames.
You'll meet Tania while searching for the journalist in the Vyssa Hills. From the Timeloop dome, near the Knight of Grief statue, look southwest to see a path running through a wooden structure.
Follow the path until you reach a junction, then turn left. You'll see Tania beside the save point a short distance ahead.
He can also be found in the Vyssa Hills. If you're following our walkthrough, you'll come across him while searching for the Watcher's Nest. From Tania's position, head back to the junction and turn left. After passing beneath the scaffolding, turn around and look for the ladder.
Climb up, jump to the left and continue uphill until you reach the second junction, where you'll see Atticus on the left.
Gildas will appear once you solve the Watcher's Nest puzzle in the Vyssa Hills. After opening the sarcophagus, turn around to leave the Nest. You'll hear a noise and Gildas will appear in its main chamber.
You'll find Boro in Talju. He is at the garage near the beginning of the area. Head across the yard from the APC and look for him in the office on the right.
He is in the room on the right as soon as you enter the building.
You'll find Caspian inside Talju Town Hall. He is your main objective in this area, so you can't progress without speaking to him.
Lukhan is inside the shed in the schoolyard in Talju. Finding him is mandatory as part of the story.
This NPC can be found in the village of Marastan. He'll call out to you as you walk along the street. Defeat the enemies and climb the ladder leading to the balcony where you can speak with him. This is required to progress through the story, so he's difficult to miss.
You'll find this priest in the village of Marastan. Follow the instructions to complete Adding Fuel to the Fire, then open the gate leading to the yard with the soldiers. You'll find him preaching in front of them.
You'll find Iblis in the Lethe National Library. He is in the Staff Room beyond the corridors on the lower floor, up the stairs past the archive.
You'll meet Maeve while searching for clues in the Ministry of Cultural Primacy. From Ralst's office, where you find the hanged man, leave through the southeastern door, turn left and then right at the junction. You must avoid killing the monster on the other side of the hole in the floor before entering the door on your right.
Now speak with Maeve, the woman in the room, once she calms down. Exhaust all her dialogue options, then kill the monster and return to Ralst's office. Maeve will immediately move there. This is where you must exhaust her dialogue options again for the interaction to count.
Marga is located on B3 of the Auriga Museum. You'll need to open the blue network to reach her.
You must speak with her to progress through the story.
This character will die if you fail to heed a specific warning in the Auriga Museum. Once you have the Keycard - Clearance Beta, return to B2 and activate the red network. Afterwards, backtrack through B2 and go through the first red door on your left—not the one closest to the stairs. Open the door at the back of the room and climb the ladder. This takes you to B1, where you'll encounter several enemies and a Guardian. Defeat all of them immediately, or they will kill this NPC and several others.
Once you obtain the Keycard - Clearance Alpha and open the yellow network on B1, go through the yellow door beside the B1 Timeloop to find the scientist in the illuminated area.
This character can be found in the training room in the Auriga Museum. Speaking with her is mandatory as part of the story.
