Among the many collectibles you can obtain in Hell is Us are drone modules. These special items can be equipped through the drone menu and allow you to apply special effects in combat. They generally provide practical strategic advantages that are easy to understand. Some of them are particularly important, so make sure you find them and learn how to make the most of their abilities.
The Distract module allows you to lock down an enemy and prevent it from going after Rémi for the duration of the effect, or until you deactivate it. The effect ends if you attack the target. It is particularly useful for keeping weaker enemies occupied so they don't attack you while you're dealing with a group.
This module is available by default when you obtain the drone.
The Forward Charge module allows you to perform a powerful long-range charge. It's a great option when several weaker enemies are standing in front of you, you don't want to fight them all and you need an aggressively effective way to close the distance.
You'll find this module in the first section of the Acasa Marshes. It will be on your way to the village, in the swamp, before encountering the new enemy type and beyond the tank where three regular monsters appear.
It does exactly what you'd expect: you spin around, dealing damage with your weapon. The larger your weapon, the greater its reach.
It will be on your path when you go to cross the tunnel in the Acasa Marshes.
This module allows you to perform dashes using thrusters. It's extremely useful when you need to escape a particularly dangerous situation.
You can obtain this module in the Vyssa Hills. It is northeast of the Weeping Knight statue, at the checkpoint along the road. You'll see a body lying on the road as you cross it.
You'll pass through this area as part of the region's mission objectives, so the green glow is difficult to miss.
Basically, it allows you to perform a jumping attack, giving you all the advantages of the high ground—as Obi-Wan Kenobi so memorably demonstrated to Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar.
It can be obtained in the Vyssa Hills, while searching for Agatha if you're following our guide. From the Timeloop, head southwest towards Tania's position, but at the junction, continue straight ahead instead of turning towards her.
You'll soon see a green glow as you head down the other side of the slope.
Be careful, as there are enemies in the area and they may attack as you approach.
This is an upgraded version of Forward Charge. It can be obtained in Talju. Cross the railway bridge and continue through the houses, then head west until you can drop down onto the main street.
You'll see the module on your right after dropping down, between some vehicles.
This is the upgraded version of Death from Above. It can be obtained in the forest outside Marastan. From the APC, head straight ahead and take the path to the left of the slope that climbs up to the right.
Continue straight ahead until you see a house on your right. The module is on the left-hand side of the property.
This module surrounds you with a shield that destroys enemy projectiles. To obtain it, you must progress through the story until, during one of the sequences that plays when travelling between regions, the OMSIF officer reveals her identity. Afterwards, look under the passenger seat inside the APC, to the right of the steering wheel, to collect the module.
This is the more powerful version of Shockwave. It can be obtained at Observation Outpost 08, inside one of the tents.
This is the more powerful version of Entropic Field. You'll find it outside the Lethe National Library.
Look to the right of the rear entrance to find it.
This is the more powerful version of Rearguard. It can be obtained in the exhibition area of the Ministry of Cultural Primacy. After passing the office with the map on the wall, you'll reach a larger room. The module's green glow can be seen off to one side.
This module causes enemies to fall to the ground, provided you completely deplete their stance bar. It can be found in the Jeljin excavation site. Continue until you reach a junction with an orange light on the left and a blue light straight ahead and to the right.
Follow the path with the blue light and you'll see the module on the ground a few metres ahead.
This is the more powerful version of Surge Step. You'll find it in the drone workshop at the Auriga Museum. You must pass through this room as part of the story, and the module is beside an item required to progress, making it impossible to miss.
This is the more powerful version of Whirlwind. It can be obtained in the B1 training room at the Auriga Museum. You'll have to pass through this area as part of the story. This is the section where you must press a button and defeat several waves of enemies. Between the second and third waves, the door beside the observation window will open.
The module is inside that room.
This is the more powerful version of Distract. It is obtained by completing Lax Security.
This module essentially turns the drone into a proximity mine, damaging any enemies that get too close. It can be found in the room containing the Senedra Forest Timeloop.
