As with most games in the series, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced features the iconic viewpoints. These are high vantage points where the "Synchronize" prompt appears when you approach them. Synchronizing reveals some of the nearby points of interest and, more importantly, unlocks the viewpoint as a fast travel point. This makes viewpoints one of the first places you should visit whenever you reach a new area.
This section of the guide shows you the location of every viewpoint in each region, along with its position according to the coordinates displayed when you open the map.
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Dry Tortuga, the northwesternmost region on the map:
The only viewpoint in Placer de los Roques is in the northeastern part of the settlement (467,606).
The only viewpoint in Florida is in the southern part of the island (379,793).
There are a total of 9 viewpoints in Havana, in the south-southwestern part of Dry Tortuga.
You will find them at the following locations:
At the northern edge of the city (213,597).
In the northeastern part of the city (222,593).
Just north of central Havana (213,588).
Just east of the city center (218,583).
At the western edge of Havana (205,581).
To the southwest of the city center (209,575).
Just south of central Havana (212,571).
At the harbor in the southeast of the city (221,573).
In the northwesternmost corner of the city (201,604).
There are a total of 2 viewpoints in Cape Bonavista, southwest of Dry Tortuga.
You will find them at the following locations:
In the northeastern part of the area (158,594).
In the southwestern part of Cape Bonavista (150,586).
There is only one viewpoint in Matanzas, on the coast between Havana and Cape Bonavista. It can be found at (299,622).
It is on the roof of the mansion guarded by enemies.
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Eleuthera, the northeasternmost region on the map:
There is only one viewpoint on Abaco Island, which is located in the western part of Eleuthera. Its coordinates are (583,807).
To reach the viewpoint on top of the rocks, look for some trees southwest of the viewpoint. You will see several branches you can jump across to reach the pile of rocks and the branch used to synchronize the area.
There are a total of 6 viewpoints in Nassau, in the southwestern part of Eleuthera, the northeasternmost region on the map.
You will find them at the following locations:
In the northeastern part of the city (605,766). It is at the top of a watchtower inside an enemy fort.
In central Nassau (597,760), at the top of a church bell tower.
In the southeastern part of Nassau (605,758). The viewpoint is the horizontal yardarm of an enormous mast planted in the middle of the sand, so it is hard to miss.
In the southwestern part, inside an enemy camp (590,752). It is a tower outside the warehouse compound, so you can climb it without worrying about being spotted.
In the western part of Nassau, west-southwest of the central viewpoint (588,757). It is on the flagpole atop the roof of a house guarded by enemies.
The final viewpoint is in the southeastern part of Nassau, at the top of a rather rickety tower (601,751).
The only viewpoint in this area, which is in the southwestern part of Eleuthera, can be found at (541,697), in the southwestern part of the island.
You will find the only viewpoint in this area on the eastern side of the settlement on Cat Island, in southeastern Eleuthera (740,666).
It is on a tower inside a guarded area, so avoid being spotted by the guards while synchronizing it.
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Gibara, the region in the central-eastern part of the map:
The only viewpoint in this area is in the southwestern part of the island, which itself is located in the north-central part of the region (721,604).
The viewpoint is on the remains of the figurehead of the shipwreck lying along the coast.
There is only one viewpoint on Crooked Island, which is located in the central part of Gibara (775,520).
The viewpoint is the watchtower at the dock.
There is only one viewpoint on Mayaguana Island, which is in the eastern part of Gibara (853,517).
The viewpoint is on the northeastern coast of the island. It is the mast jutting out from the shoreline.
There is one viewpoint on Black Island, which is in the northeastern part of Gibara (919,612).
The viewpoint is on the island's eastern coast and is located on the chimney of the house in the enemy camp.
There is one viewpoint in Great Inagua, Edward's base in the southeastern part of Gibara (824,447).
It is on the northeastern coast of the area. The viewpoint is a branch jutting out from the cliff above the dock, next to the mansion.
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Contoy, in the central-western part of the world map:
There are two viewpoints on Sacrifice Island, in the northwestern part of this small region. The first is in the northern part of the island (19,555).
The viewpoint is at the top of the ruined structure, inside the area guarded by enemies. The second viewpoint is in the southern half of the island (18,547).
It is above the pool in the center of the ruined complex.
There are two viewpoints in Tulum, in the southwesternmost part of Contoy. The first is on the southeastern coast of Tulum (41,375).
The second viewpoint is in the northwestern part of Tulum (35,389). It is at the top of the ruins.
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Castillo de Jagua, the region in the western part of the central map:
The only viewpoint in Arroyos is in the northeastern part of the settlement (163,453), which itself is in the northwestern part of the region.
The only viewpoint in this area, which is located in the central part of the region, can be found in its northwestern section (303,455).
It is at the top of the ruins.
There is only one viewpoint in this area, which lies south-southeast of the region.
It is at the southernmost end of the area (302,303).
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Cruz, the region in the eastern part of the central map:
The only viewpoint in the entire region is in the southwestern corner of Cruz, in the western part of Grand Cayman (358,299).
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Punta Guarico, the region in the middle of the map's eastern edge:
There is only one viewpoint in Cumberland Bay, in the northwestern corner of the region (647,354).
The viewpoint in Tortuga, in the north-northeastern part of the region, is in the northern part of the island (848,350).
The viewpoint in Caracol, the northeasternmost settlement in Punta Guarico, is in the northeastern part of the dock (921,329).
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Chinchorro, the region in the southwestern corner of the map:
There is one viewpoint in Santanillas, the ruins in the southeastern part of the region. It is on the island's southwestern coast, at one of the highest points in the ruins (183,215).
This viewpoint is in the settlement in western Chinchorro, at the western edge of the world map (9,239).
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Serranilla, the region on the western side of the map's southern edge:
There is only one viewpoint in Mysteriosa, the island in the central part of Serranilla. It is in the northern part of the ruins (270,175).
The only viewpoint in New Bone, in the southeastern corner of Serranilla, is in the northeastern part of the area (407,90).
These are all the viewpoints you can activate in Navassa, the region in the southeastern corner of the map:
There are a total of 6 viewpoints in Kingston, the settlement in the northwestern part of the region. You will find them at the following locations:
In the city center (616,167).
Near the southeastern corner, just north of the southeastern part of the dock (623,159).
In the northeastern part of the city, at the top of the church (620,177).
To the northwest of the previous viewpoint, at the top of a tower inside an enemy camp (613,183).
In the western part of the city (605,169).
The final viewpoint is in the southwestern part, just north of the southwestern corner of the docks (602,159).
There are two viewpoints in Port Royal, the settlement south of Kingston. The first is in central Port Royal (602,134).
The second is to the southwest, near the harbor (595,131).
There is only one viewpoint on Ile a Vache, the island in the central-southeastern part of Navassa. It is in the northern part of the island (808,116).
The only viewpoint on Mystery Island, the southeasternmost island on the map, is in the northern part of the atoll (910,126).
Providencia is a small area in the southeastern corner of Serranilla. Although it is not a separate region, we have listed it separately from Serranilla because it is one of only two areas that require you to progress through the story before you can visit them. More specifically, you cannot reach it until the Marooned mission in Sequence 8.
There are 3 viewpoints in this area. The first is in the southeastern corner of the islet (486,13). You can reach it by sailing straight up to the beach and disembarking.
The second is in the southwestern corner of the area (475,17).
The third and final viewpoint is in the northeastern part of the area (485,33).
Principe is a separate region located outside the Caribbean map. You will reach it during Sequence 9. Once you have completed it, you can return by selecting the "P" on the eastern edge of the world map.
There are two viewpoints in Principe. The first is at the western-northwestern edge of the city (98,19).
The second is in the elevated area just before the easternmost part of Principe, at the edge of the cliff.
Long Bay is technically part of Charlotte, but it is one of the areas that will not be available until later in the game. More specifically, you need to reach the end of Sequence 10 to gain access to it.
There are a total of 3 viewpoints in Long Bay. The first is on the northwestern beach (492,229).
The second is on the northeastern beach (505,232).
The third and final viewpoint is in the southern part of the area.
Head toward the Mayan Stela in the area (502,218) to find it.
