As you'd expect from a pirate-themed game, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced features plenty of treasure chests containing money, materials and other items. This section of the guide shows the locations of every special chest marked with an icon on the map. Minor loot, individual components, loose Reales and other items without a special map marker are not included.
Bear in mind that this section includes every chest with its own icon. This includes underwater treasures, rather than just those found on land, and there are more chests than the regional totals shown on the in-game map suggest. Nassau, for example, is listed as having five chests when it actually has ten.
These are all the chests you can find in Dry Tortuga, the northwesternmost region on the map:

The chest is in an arcade overlooking a square, behind a shop. You'll see that some wooden planks are blocking access. Follow the wall to the left until you find an entrance to the arcade. Inside you'll find the document Cortés and La Malinche, from the History of Tlaxcala.

It's inside an enclosed courtyard, but you can easily jump over the fence. It contains money.

This chest is in southern Nassau, close to one of the region's viewpoints. It's in a supply area inside an enemy camp and contains the Epistola de Magnete manuscript.
This chest is on the southwestern coast of Nassau, west-southwest of the previous one. It's on the beach by the shore and contains money.
You'll find this chest in western Nassau, near the viewpoint beside the house guarded by enemies. The chest is inside an upper-floor room. You can enter through one of the windows above the porch roof. It contains the Introductio Geographica manuscript.
This chest is slightly northeast of the previous one, inside the same guarded house compound in western Nassau. It's on the northern upper-floor balcony and contains money.
This chest is in the westernmost part of Nassau.
To reach it, head down to the swamp directly to the east, at the foot of the cliff beneath the camp. In the middle, you'll see a fallen tree trunk that you can climb to reach the branches above the camp. From there, you can make your way to the chest. It contains money.
You'll find this chest in northeastern Andreas Island, in southwestern Eleuthera.
The chest is beneath the scaffolding supporting a house. To enter the area, break the crates by the shore beside the planks. It contains The Aberdeen Bestiary (Phoenix Detail) manuscript.

You'll find this chest on the southern coast of Salt Lagoon, the island in the north-central part of the region.
It's underwater and contains money.
This chest is inside Jiguey Cave. You can find the cave by following the coastline in southwestern Gibara.
Head to the back of the inlet to find a path leading into a cave between the rocks. The area is packed with enemies, and the chest is underwater in the central section. It requires a key carried by one of the enemies inside the cave and contains money, a Weathered Map Fragment and the Cannon Pistol.
There's a second chest in Jiguey. Look in the southeastern corner of the cave and climb onto the ledge near the hutia to spot it.

This chest is in the northern part of Crooked Island, the settlement in central Gibara.
It's at the end of the dock, on the sand inside a makeshift camp. It contains the German Rapiers.

To reach it, go through the tunnel connecting the clearing to the shore. One of the tunnel walls has a partially concealed path hidden by plants. It leads to a small area containing a treasure map and the chest. The chest contains the manuscript Solaris, from Mundus Subterraneus.
This chest is in the northern part of Black Island, in northeastern Gibara.
It's underwater among the remains of a sunken ship and contains money.
This chest is directly southeast of the previous one, on the northeastern coast of Black Island.
It's at a lookout point above the cliff and contains the legendary Captain Morgan's Frock Coat outfit.

Head east-southeast from the abandoned settlement south of the dock, then continue east until you find a slope leading down to the chest. It contains Altaïr's Sails.

You can easily reach it from the previous chest: climb the ruined wall, then jump across the tree branches toward the chest. It contains money.
This chest is west of the Great Inagua manor.
To reach it, head downstairs from the manor's main room into the cave hidden beneath the basement, behind one of the bookshelves in the corner. It contains Ezio's Sails.
This chest is east of the Great Inagua manor.
It's behind the waterwheel and contains a Chalice.
This chest is on an unnamed island northeast of Crooked Island.
It's beneath the bow of the wrecked ship and contains money.

You'll see the chest on a cliff that you can't reach directly. As ridiculous as it sounds, you'll need to visit the tavern and drink five times by interacting with the counter to the right of the bartender. You'll wake up right beside the chest. It contains a Yoke-Shaped Vessel.
It's south of the previous one. Approach from the east and dive to find a short underwater cave leading to some small ruins where the chest is located.

This chest is inside San Juan Cave, in the northern corner of Cruz.
As you approach the cave, you'll need to dive and swim through an underwater cavern to reach an enemy camp. The chest is locked, and one of the enemies has the key. It contains money and a Weathered Map Fragment.

This unmarked chest is in northwestern Chinchorro. To find it, start by sailing to 28,293, northeast of the islet located northeast of Corozal.

To reach it, circle around the chest from the west until you reach an enemy camp. From there, climb onto a ledge leading to a small room among the ruins containing the chest. It holds the Vulture Vessel.

It's on the upper floor of the house marked by the icon and contains money.

You'll find this chest in Anotto Bay, along the northeastern edge of the region.
Enter the underwater cave and follow the flooded tunnel until you can turn left at the second junction and swim up one level. The chest will be beside you and contains money.
From the previous chest, head back toward the entrance to the underwater tunnel. This time, turn left at the first opportunity, then turn left again as soon as you can. Continue to the end, where a shark will smash through the wooden boards blocking the tunnel.
The chest is at the end of this path and contains money.
To obtain this chest, head all the way to the end of Anotto Bay, to the area with the enemies.

This unmarked chest is in a bay on the coast west of Kingston and south of Long Bay.
You'll need to dive at this exact spot to find the secret chest.
