Among the many side missions you can complete in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, one type is known as Anomalies. These are special, time-limited and repeatable missions that allow you to earn exclusive rewards, and they rotate over time.
Rather than walking you through each mission individually, there are a few special mechanics you need to understand first.
Before getting into Anomalies, you first need to understand what Animus Projects are. You can access this section from the map menu > Animus > Projects. Here you'll see all the available Projects, which are essentially similar to the Battle Passes found in other games.
All you need to do here is select one of the Projects. You can switch Projects at any time and check the rewards you'll earn as you level up each one. Projects level up by completing Anomalies, and for now, the rewards can be for either Black Flag Resynced or Shadows.
Now that you know what Projects are, open the mission menu on the map and look for the "Anomalies" section.
Here you'll see the available Anomalies, which will either give you an exact map marker or a clear objective. For example, if you're asked to eliminate an enemy or sink a ship, the game will mark its exact location. However, if you're asked to sink smaller boats, you'll have to search for them across the ocean. As soon as you complete an Anomaly, the corresponding points will be added to your active Project. Remember that you have a limited amount of time to complete them before they're replaced by others. If you complete them all, no new Anomalies will appear until the next rotation.
