Although the story missions in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced aren't particularly difficult to complete, there are a few occasions where you may come across unclear or confusing objectives. One such example is The Sage's Buried Secret mission (Sequence 4). At one point during this mission, you'll be separated from James Kidd and have to find a way across a chasm.
Your only clue is to "use those blocks," but there are no objective markers and nothing lights up to show you how to proceed. Don't worry—the solution is easier than it looks. It just isn't very clear.
As mentioned above, this section takes place during the Sequence 4 mission The Sage's Buried Secret. After making your way through the tomb with Kidd for a while, a bridge will collapse and Kidd will mention something about using some blocks to get across.
If you search the walls for somewhere to climb or jump, you won't find anything. There are no levers, nothing you can move... nothing at all. The problem is that the solution is somewhat counterintuitive compared to what you'd normally expect from this kind of game. What you're looking for is a sunlit section of the wall to the left of the stairs when facing the chasm.
From there, you can climb up the wall to a root running horizontally across it, which will allow you to reach the other side of the chasm. It wasn't difficult—just unclear, right?
