Although Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced remains faithful to the original game and this remake doesn't feature the RPG elements found in recent entries, such as multiple pieces of gear with different defense stats and special effects, it does retain a variety of outfits and armor sets that can be used to customize Edward's appearance. Bear in mind that outfits and armor are purely cosmetic. In other words, they don't provide any advantages or special attributes that affect gameplay.
