Como sabéis gracias a Rare Replay, Rare está celebrando sus 30 años, y en un movimiento casi sin precedentes, muchos de sus empleados están desvelando documentos inéditos hasta el momento. Ahora es Gregg Mayles, empleado del estudio y uno de los responsables de Donkey Kong Country, quien muestra la creación de este icono de las plataformas.
A través de Twitter, podemos ver los diseños originales del juego, ideas descartadas, e incluso un boceto del propio Miyamoto en el que sugería que Donkey Kong llevase su icónica corbata.
Donkey Kong Country se lanzó en 1994 para Super Nintendo y es uno de los juegos más recordados de Rare. El último juego que firmó el equipo de Donkey Kong Country al completo fue Grabbed by the Ghoulies, que podéis encontrar en Rare Replay.
