In this section of our guide, we will share the essential tips and tricks you need to defeat Scylla and the Sirens easily, as well as explain their main attacks and weaknesses so the battle does not give you too much trouble. Take note!

How to defeat Scylla and the Sirens

Hades 2 - Scylla and the Sirens boss: Tips and tricks

As we mentioned above, the battle against Scylla and the Sirens can be a real headache because you have to fight three bosses at the same time, although they all share a single health bar. There is Scylla herself, the lead singer, along with her two accompanying Sirens: a guitarist and a drummer.

Both Scylla and the guitarist will move around the stage, while the drummer always remains in the same position, something you can use to your advantage. The battle also unfolds like a live concert, meaning that some attacks are synchronized with the music playing in the background.

Take a look below at the list of attacks this unusual band can perform so you know what to expect:

  • Scylla is slow and always remains inside her huge shell. She is only vulnerable from the front, as her back is protected. She generally attacks by firing a volley of red beams forward that follow you, although they do not move particularly quickly.
  • If you deal enough damage to Scylla, she will hide inside her shell and block all your attacks. Keep an eye on her, as she will eventually open up and release a barrage of spiked sea urchins.

  • Scylla can also summon four lasers in straight lines around herself while slowly rotating. She remains vulnerable during this attack.
  • Finally, Scylla can summon a purple orb with a musical note inside it. Try not to let it hit you, as it deals heavy explosive damage.
  • Roxy, the drummer, creates large pink circles on the ground in time with the music, which then explode. You will need to move away before they detonate to avoid taking damage.

  • The drummer can also create a large explosion around herself, or an inverse blast that closes in toward her.
  • Jetty, the guitarist, can lunge at your position from a distance and stab you.
  • The guitarist also occasionally fires whitish projectiles that do not deal damage but will briefly stun you.

One of the best strategies for defeating this boss is to take the Sirens out of the fight first. Scylla is the strongest and most dangerous of the three, while the other two Sirens are mainly a nuisance. You should focus on attacking the drummer first, as she is an easy target because she never moves from her position.

Taking Roxy out as quickly as possible will free you from her annoying explosions across the floor. You can then focus on the guitarist, eliminating her relentless attacks and leaving you alone with Scylla. Bear in mind, however, that once the singer has lost both of her bandmates, she will summon an army of tiny fish.

As a general rule, remember that you can hardly ever stop moving during this battle. There are so many attacks happening at once that standing still for even a second can be devastating. Do not forget to make use of the environmental objects that appear throughout the fight, such as the boilers that you can cause to explode. With a little practice and by following our advice, you will soon see that the band is not as difficult as it initially appears.
