One of the longest-running tasks available in Hades 2, tied to the Fated List of Minor Prophecies, involves finding the Fates. We say it is a long-term objective because it cannot be fully completed until you have seen the true ending of the main story. In fact, finding the Fates is the final major activity you can undertake during the epilogue, bringing the story of Supergiant Games' sequel to a close.
If you still do not know what you need to do to resolve this matter, this section of our guide will walk you through all the steps and requirements for finding the Fates and completing the Hades 2 epilogue.
The first step towards finding the Fates in Hades 2 is directly tied to the Minor Prophecy called "Melinoë, Help Us", which becomes available fairly early in the game.
Although the objective of this Prophecy is to find the Fates, you cannot encounter them at this stage of the adventure. In fact, the Prophecy is completed automatically once you unlock the story's true ending. In other words, you must permanently defeat Typhon and Chronos with the help of the Gigaros spear and a couple of Cauldron Incantations.
If you have not completed the story yet, you can follow the link to our guide explaining all the necessary steps. For now, it is enough to know that after watching the credits, you will return to the Crossroads. Interact with the Fated List and you will see that this Prophecy has been replaced by the following one.
The second step towards finding the Fates in Hades 2 is tied to the Minor Prophecy called "Melinoë, Remember Us", which becomes available once you have reached the story's epilogue.
This Prophecy asks you to investigate the Underworld and Olympus. In principle, you must now complete at least one run through each of the game's two main routes. In other words, successfully complete an Underworld run by defeating Chronos and a surface run by defeating Typhon.
After successfully completing both routes, Moros should have a new conversation for you at the Crossroads concerning the search for the Fates. You must trigger this conversation to complete the Prophecy.
It is worth noting that you may need to complete more than one Underworld or surface run before this conversation with Moros becomes available. You may even need to improve your relationship with Moros first, if you have not already done so. In any case, as long as you continue completing runs during the epilogue, Moros should eventually have the new conversation required to advance the search for the Fates.
The third step towards finding the Fates in Hades 2 is tied to the Minor Prophecy called "Melinoë, Seek Us", which appears on your Fated List immediately after completing the previous one.
This Prophecy presents you with a series of riddles that can be completed in any order. Essentially, you must get to know several characters better, which means raising your relationship with them to a certain level. As you already know, this is done by repeatedly giving them Indulgences on different nights, including Nectar, Bath Salts, Twin Lures and Ambrosia. If you are unsure which type of Indulgence a character currently accepts, open their entry in the Book of Shadows to check.

As you can see, aside from Chronos—who now accepts gifts like the other characters during the epilogue—only one character on the list works differently: Prometheus. Since he is a boss, he does not accept gifts, so the only way to "get to know him better" is by reaching his surface encounter numerous times. You will need to face him repeatedly until he finally makes a remark mentioning the Fates before the battle begins.
As for the others, we have already explained where you can find them, and you may already have a fairly high relationship level with several of them by this point. In any case, we know that Moros and Hecate must reach their maximum number of hearts, or at least that was true in our playthrough. You should not need to progress quite as far with the others, but make sure you speak to them and give them gifts whenever you encounter them.
Once you have sufficiently "gotten to know" all 6 characters, this Prophecy will be replaced by the final one involving the Fates.
The fourth and final step towards finding the Fates in Hades 2 is tied to the Minor Prophecy called "Melinoë, Find Us", which appears on your Fated List shortly after completing the previous one.
This Prophecy presents you with one final riddle to solve. According to its description, you must use the Emissary's gift in the depths of Oceanus to find the Fates. If that is not entirely clear, here is exactly what you need to do:
It is important to note that you do not need to have the Engraved Pin equipped from the beginning of the run. You can equip it immediately before entering Oceanus, in the rest area following the battle against Hecate.
To create the highly specific situation demanded by the Fates, remember to choose 4 consecutive chambers that are guaranteed to contain enemies. Avoid entering places such as Charon's shop or Narcissus's chamber, where no enemies appear, as you need foes to reduce Melinoë's Life to 0 a total of four times.
Finally, and this may seem obvious, you should defeat almost every enemy first in each of the first 3 chambers, leaving only one or two alive. Then allow those remaining enemies to completely drain your Life. This will let you finish them off quickly before the 10 seconds of invulnerability expire. After doing this in three chambers, do not forget to let yourself die in the fourth.
Successfully completing this requirement will allow you to find the Fates once and for all, completing the final main quest in the game's story and bringing the epilogue to an end.
