Hades 2 has hundreds of divine Boons that you can obtain during each run. Some of the most special are Duo Boons, which are shared by two different gods, and Infusion Boons, which are linked to the elements. However, the most coveted and unique Boons in the game are those of Legendary Rarity, just as they were in the first game in Supergiant Games' series.
In this section of our guide, we will explain in detail how to obtain Legendary Boons in Hades 2, as well as which ones are available from each god, so you can discover their effects and bonuses if you are not already familiar with them.
Legendary Boons are the rarest Boons in Hades 2, so finding one is far from common. You might even complete the game without ever seeing one, or come across only a couple during your many attempts to defeat Chronos.
This is because Legendary Boons are extremely special, and there are a few important things you need to know about them:
As you can see, the random nature of Hades 2's gameplay can have a major influence on whether you are lucky enough for a god to offer you one of their Legendary Boons. In most runs, you will probably only manage to obtain one Boon of this Rarity, provided that you focus on accepting several Boons from the same god.
If you have activated Arcana Cards that grant Changes of Fate, allowing you to alter Location rewards, such as Arcana XVI, Arcana XXI or Arcana XXII, you can try to force encounters with the same god throughout a run. This will allow you to obtain plenty of Boons from that character and increase the chance of being offered their Legendary Boon. The same applies to Keepsakes associated with each god's Boons, as equipping one improves that god's Boons and makes them appear more frequently.
Otherwise, if you do not have any Changes of Fate or suitable Keepsakes available, you will have to rely on luck and chance to obtain these Boons, just as you would with Duo or Infusion Boons.
Below, we will show you every Legendary Boon in Hades 2, their effects and bonuses, and the specific requirements you must meet before each god can offer them to you. Remember that these requirements revolve around already having obtained other Boons from that same god.
These are all the Legendary Boons in Hades 2:
| Boon | God | Effect | Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nervous Wreck | Aphrodite | Whenever you inflict Weak, also inflict other random divine Curses |
| Exceptional Talent | Apollo | Your Ω Attack and Ω Special activate twice, but use more Magick |
| Sanguinary Savor | Ares | Each Plasma has improved potency and is drawn to you automatically |
| Defiance | Chaos | Afterward, gain +1 Death Defiance this night |
| Winter Harvest | Demeter | Foes afflicted with Freeze shatter at 10% Life and deal damage in the surrounding area |
| Premium Service | Hephaestus | Your Nocturnal Arm Aspect becomes even more powerful |
| All Together | Hera | Gain Earth, Water, Air and Fire, as well as 1 Infusion Boon for each Element |
| Paid Dues | Hermes | Lose Gold before Life whenever you take damage |
| Purifying Fire | Hestia | Your Casts destroy many projectiles and inflict Scorch on foes that attack you |
| King Tide | Poseidon | Poseidon's splash effects are larger and deal more damage to Guardians |
| Lineage | Selene | In Guardian Encounters, your Hex can be Godsent +2 additional times |
| Shocking Loss | Zeus | The first time you damage certain foes, you have a chance to destroy them outright |
Legendary Boons generally complement the other Boons offered by the same god or grant you a unique ability that strengthens your current powers and build, making you considerably more powerful. Their effects can be extremely useful, so if you ever have the opportunity to accept one, you should definitely do so.
However, remember that these Boons are not essential for completing the game, and you can still beat it without them.
