In recent mainline Pokémon games, players have been able to earn certain Ribbons for their Pokémon by completing specific milestones, which can then be displayed on their summary pages. These Ribbons can also unlock special titles that appear when the Pokémon is sent into battle. Although Pokémon Champions does not feature Ribbons themselves, the game still allows available Pokémon to obtain different unique titles that appear next to their names.
You may have already noticed that some Pokémon have titles while others do not, or perhaps you haven't come across this feature yet. Either way, this section of our guide will explain how to unlock special titles, which ones are available, and how to equip them, so you don't miss out on this interesting and easily overlooked feature.
There are two main ways to obtain special titles in Pokémon Champions:
In other words, whenever you visit Roster Ranch in Pokémon Champions, each of the 10 randomly selected Pokémon available there has a chance of having a random special title. This is similar to how Shiny Pokémon can appear.
You can tell whether a Pokémon available for recruitment has a special title by looking at the top of its summary on the left-hand side of the screen. In the image above, for example, you can see a Morpeko with the title "the Sociable."
As mentioned above, whether a Pokémon at Roster Ranch has a title is completely random, so you will have to rely on luck. A Pokémon may come with one title from a list of possible options, such as "the Joyful," "the Opportunist," "the Humble," or "the Grumpy," although bear in mind that this is a rare occurrence.
There are also at least two titles that can be unlocked through guaranteed methods in Pokémon Champions. To obtain them, you must reach the higher tiers of Ranked Battles: Master Ball Tier or Champion Tier. The Pokémon on the team you are using when you rank up will receive titles associated with those tiers.
Beyond these methods, the only other way for Pokémon in Champions to have titles is to transfer a Pokémon from your Pokémon HOME account that already has a special title unlocked through a Ribbon. For example, if you have a Skeledirge in HOME that became the Paldea Champion in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can bring it over to Champions and it will retain its special title, "the Paldea Champion," which it originally received by earning the Paldea Champion Ribbon. The same applies to other titles from other compatible games in the series.
Finally, remember that titles are only available to the Pokémon that have unlocked them. You cannot transfer titles between different Pokémon. They are unique to each individual Pokémon.

Most Pokémon titles can be brought over to Champions through Pokémon HOME connectivity. Bear in mind that these titles never appear randomly at Roster Ranch and are only available in Champions through Pokémon HOME transfers. The full list is as follows:
Once you have a Pokémon with a special title in Pokémon Champions, you can choose whether you want that title to appear next to its name when it is sent into battle, allowing other players to see it.
Changing a Pokémon's title is simple. Go to your Pokémon Box, find the Pokémon in question, and open its summary. From this screen, select "Individual Settings" to display additional options, including "Change Title":
Open this option and you will be able to choose whichever title you want from those the Pokémon has already unlocked. You do not need to spend any VP. If the Pokémon has not unlocked any titles, there will obviously be nothing to select.
Titles do not actually change anything about a Pokémon and provide no gameplay advantages. They simply alter how its name appears when it is sent into battle instead of displaying only its default species name. The feature is purely cosmetic.
