In Pokémon Champions, much like in the Pokémon HOME app, players initially have limited Pokémon Box storage for their team Pokémon. By default, you start with space for just 30 Pokémon, which can quickly feel quite restrictive if you want to collect lots of different Pokémon or create a variety of teams.
Fortunately, the game offers several ways to increase your storage capacity. If you are not familiar with them, this section of our guide will show you each method and explain how to expand your Pokémon Box.
If you want more Pokémon Box storage on your Pokémon Champions account so that you can keep a larger number of Pokémon, there are two specific purchases that can increase its capacity:
Starter Bundle
This special bundle, which can be purchased for €6.99 through the Nintendo eShop, permanently increases your Pokémon Box capacity by 50 additional slots. Combined with the 30 default slots, this immediately gives you space for 80 Pokémon. It also includes the battle music from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, 50 Scout Tickets, and 30 Quick Coupons as additional rewards.
Membership
The Pokémon Champions Membership is a recurring subscription available through the game's Premium Shop, with two different plans:
This membership provides several benefits while it remains active, including 1,000 additional Pokémon Box slots, 15 additional Battle Team slots, exclusive missions offering extra rewards, and exclusive battle music. Remember, however, that you will only have access to these benefits while your membership remains active.
As you can see, both of these methods for increasing your Pokémon Box capacity require you to spend real money. However, if you do not mind spending some money on the game and want plenty of room to store more Pokémon, you can choose either of these paid options—or both.
As explained in the game's Help section, you can also increase the initial limit of 30 Pokémon for free by ranking up in Ranked Battles, in both the Single Battle and Double Battle formats.
More specifically, when you reach each of the following ranked tiers for the first time, you will receive the following Pokémon Box upgrades among your rewards:
Remember that these rewards can be earned twice by ranking up in both Single Battles and Double Battles, as your progress in each format is tracked separately.
