Palworld: How to Repair Weapons, Armor, Tools, and Base Structures
Learn how to repair broken items and damaged structures in Palworld, restore their durability, and keep them working effectively.
In Palworld, as in virtually any survival game, the items you craft and use have limited durability. This means your weapons, tools, and armor will gradually wear down until they become unusable or much less effective. Even structures can break if they take too many hits. Fortunately, you can repair them at your base to prevent this from happening. If you've just started playing and don't know how, we'll explain everything in this section of our guide.
How Do You Repair Items in Palworld?
Every weapon, tool, and piece of equipment in Palworld has a set amount of durability, which you can check directly from the inventory menu. If its durability drops too far, you'll receive a warning message and the item will then display a red icon above it, featuring a wrench and screwdriver to indicate that it needs repairing.
As mentioned above, if an item's durability falls too low, it will become less effective, which is obviously something you'll want to avoid. You can repair your equipment by building a Repair Bench at your base.
The recipe for this bench can be unlocked at Technology level 2 for one Technology Point and requires the following materials:
Both resources are basic materials and very easy to obtain. However, once you've built the bench through the Build menu, you'll discover that you still need something else to repair your worn-out items. Each individual item has its own material requirements, which you'll need to pay to restore its durability to maximum.
The good news is that repairing an item only costs half its original crafting materials, so repairing it is always better than crafting a new one of the same type. Bear in mind, however, that the Pals at your base will never repair these items for you. You'll need to repair them manually whenever necessary.
How Do You Repair Damaged Structures and Buildings?
Just as you can repair items, Palworld also lets you repair structures and buildings at your base if they've been damaged by enemies or accidentally hit by you. In this case, you'll need to build a Primitive Workbench and follow these steps:
- Once you reach Technology level 3, unlock the Repair Kit recipe.
- When you have Fiber x5 and Stone x5, craft one of these kits at the workbench.
- Now approach the damaged structure at your base that you want to repair while carrying the Repair Kit in your inventory.
- When you aim at the structure, an interaction prompt will appear, allowing you to use the Repair Kit.
This allows you to restore damaged structures to 100% durability. Remember that Repair Kits are consumed after each use, so you'll need to craft several if your base has suffered extensive damage.
