Palworld: How to Easily Trade Pals with Friends
Do you and your Palworld friends have Pals you want to trade but don't know how? Here are the steps to exchange Pals between players quickly and easily.
Just like in the Pokémon series, one of the most interesting things you can do in Palworld is trade the Pals you've caught with your friends. However, the game's trading system isn't immediately obvious and can leave newcomers with plenty of questions when they want to exchange creatures with their fellow adventurers.
If you don't know how to do it, don't worry. We've prepared this section of our guide to explain in detail the steps you need to follow to trade Pals quickly and easily.
How Do You Trade Pals with Another Player?
You can trade the Pals you catch with other players in Palworld, but you'll need to follow a few specific steps. Most importantly, both players involved in the trade must belong to the same guild. You can check which guild you belong to in a multiplayer game by opening the game menu and selecting the "Guild" tab.
Both players must be in the same guild to complete the trade properly. This allows them to manage the same base. Once you've joined the same guild as your friend, head to the Palbox at one of your bases and follow these steps:
- Open the Palbox and select the Pal you want to trade.
- Place the Pal in an empty slot under "Pals at the base".
- Your friend can now open the Palbox and see your Pal among the Pals working at the base.
- Your friend can then take the Pal and add it to their party.
The process we've just described also works the other way around. Instead of leaving a Pal at the base for your friend to collect, your friend can leave one there for you to add to your party.
This method is a little cumbersome, but it could be considered the official and reliable way to trade Pals with friends in Palworld. However, there is another method of exchanging Pals with other players that is much faster.
For this second method, simply open the "Pals in your party" tab, select one of the Pals on your team and press the button assigned to the "Drop" action (the R key by default on PC).
The game will then display a warning message explaining that if you drop the Pal, players from other guilds will be able to take it. Confirm that you want to continue and your Pal will appear on the ground in front of you inside a Sphere. Another player can then walk over to the Sphere and pick it up, allowing them to keep your Pal.
As you can see, this method is more straightforward than the previous one, since you don't need to belong to the same guild or use a Palbox. However, there is a risk that an unwanted player could interfere with the trade and quickly snatch the Pal. Of course, you can avoid this by coordinating properly with the other players. Either way, you now know how to trade Pals easily.
