Throughout the map of Palworld, players can find merchant NPCs selling various useful goods to help them progress, from Wandering Merchants offering materials and recipes to Black Marketeers selling black-market goods and rare Pals.
If you're looking for these merchants and want to know where to find them in the world, read on. In this section of our guide, we'll show you all their locations and provide details about each one so you know what kind of goods they sell.
Wandering Merchants are merchant NPCs that can be found at certain fixed locations throughout the world, such as settlements. They can also appear randomly in different parts of the map, as they occasionally move from one place to another. They may even visit your base from time to time.
The map below shows all the fixed locations where Wandering Merchants can be found:
Wandering Merchants are recognizable by their red clothing. Among their wares, they sell new schematics for crafting recipes at a workbench, as well as various materials, resources, food, medicine, and more.
In addition to Wandering Merchants, Palworld features two other kinds of merchants who do not trade in materials. Instead, what they actually sell are Pals. These are the regular Pal Merchants and the so-called Black Marketeers.
Both types of merchants have fixed locations on the map. Before going into further detail, you can check the image below to see where to find Pal Merchants and Black Marketeers. The former are marked with icons circled in blue, while the latter are circled in red:
Pal Merchants look similar to Wandering Merchants, but they wear blue clothing and, as their name suggests, sell a selection of Pals that changes over time.
Black Marketeers, meanwhile, are rather unusual merchant NPCs who wear dark clothing and sell what could be described as smuggled Pals. In other words, their Pals tend to be rare or difficult to find in the wild, are fairly expensive, and their stock changes over time. You can also sell your own Pals to these merchants to make some extra money—or even trade captured humans.
Some Black Marketeers conduct their business inside caves or in secluded locations away from settlements. Regular Pal Merchants, on the other hand, can be found in villages, since they are not involved in illegal trade.
Medal Merchants are merchant NPCs added to the game with the Sakurajima update. They can appear at certain random locations throughout the world, such as ruins and churches.
The map below shows one possible Medal Merchant location, at the Desolate Church at coordinates 62, -417:
Medal Merchants are recognizable by their golden clothing. Their wares include Skill Fruits, elixirs, hats for your Pals, and even accessory boxes that allow you to unlock additional accessory slots.
Keep in mind, however, that Medal Merchants only accept Dog Coins. This special currency can be obtained by defeating Mimogs throughout the world or found randomly in chests and enemy drops.
