The update introduced highly anticipated features such as PvP mode and new exclusive Pals found on a brand-new island inspired by Japanese culture. Where Is Sakurajima Island in Palworld?
Sakurajima Island is located at the point marked in the image below on Palworld's world map:
The island lies in the northwestern section of the map, north of the volcanic region in the bottom-left corner and southwest of the snowy, arid biome found in the upper part of the world.
How Do You Travel to Sakurajima Island?
You can travel to Sakurajima Island in Palworld whenever you like, even immediately after starting a new game. There are no restrictions or mandatory requirements you must meet beforehand. All you need to do is head toward the island's location marked above.
- The only essential requirement for visiting Sakurajima Island is to have updated the game to version 0.3.1 or later.
Once you've updated the game, the island will appear on your map. Since it is part of an archipelago, the first time you visit you'll need to reach it either by flying there on a Pal mount capable of flying or by swimming across the water.
Flying to the island is obviously the most convenient option. Once you arrive, you'll find several fast travel points scattered around the area. Unlocking them will allow you to return much more quickly whenever you like.
Finally, bear in mind that the island introduced in this update is intended for experienced players who have already spent plenty of time with the game. The wild Pals, bosses, and other AI-controlled enemies found on the island are around level 50 or higher, so you could quickly bite the dust if you aren't properly prepared. We recommend visiting Sakurajima only once your level is close to theirs.
