La revista japonesa Famitsu ha desvelado una interesante tabla de ventas, publicada en el foro americano NeoGAF, que recoge los juegos más vendidos en Japón en lo que llevamos de siglo, es decir, desde enero de 2001 hasta la actualidad. También incluye las ventas de consolas al completo, los tres juegos más vendidos en cada plataforma, e incluso un pequeño top 10 del siglo pasado, dominado por los juegos de Mario, Dragon Quest y Final Fantasy.
La tabla de este siglo está plagada de juegos de la consola más vendida en el mercado durante estos años, Nintendo DS, y particularmente por Nintendo, que consigue 9 de los 10 primeros puestos (si tenemos en cuenta Pokémon Company), y 18 de los primeros veinte.
