During the story of The Blood of Dawnwalker, you'll have to make a number of important choices that directly affect how events unfold. While we've already covered the key moments in our story walkthrough, here you'll find the choices you need to make that are primarily connected to the game's endings.

Keep in mind that there are also certain choices that can alter side quests. If they don't affect the main story, however, we'll cover them in their respective quest guides.

Withering Away

Towards the end of Withering Away, during the objective "Bring the herbs back to Pieter and read the recipe from Anca", you'll face your first important decision. You need to prepare the herbs by choosing the following options:

The Blood of Dawnwalker - Withering Away, Coen prepares Anca's herbs
  • Use hot water.
  • Add three spoonfuls of herbs.

If you prepare the medicine incorrectly, Esme will die during the Blood Mass sequence in Sacred Covenant.

Home Sweet Home

During the side quest Home Sweet Home, you'll need to make a specific choice to unlock the missable Together Forever ending. If you choose the normal way out of the quest instead of pursuing the secret ending, you won't be able to trigger Together Forever afterwards unless you reload an earlier save or start another playthrough.

Important choices that don't affect the endings

In addition to the decisions listed above, there are also several moments where you'll have to choose between options with significant consequences. As mentioned earlier, these choices don't affect the game's endings, but they're still worth keeping in mind.
