In addition to the important choices that directly affect the game's endings, The Blood of Dawnwalker features several other decisions with consequences significant enough that they're worth covering separately. One of them is the option to accept a reward from Bakir instead of killing him during The Lunar Game.
To reach the point where Bakir offers you a reward, you need to complete The Lunar Game without Bakir discovering Coen's identity. To do this, you'll need to make it through the tournament without using Vampirism abilities or your claws. You can feed on rats, but only when Bakir can't see you, otherwise he'll eventually realise something is wrong.
If everything goes according to plan, you'll eventually sit down at the table with Bakir. Choose the following dialogue options:
This will take you to the reward choice.
First of all, we don't recommend choosing to fight Bakir immediately. At this point, you may still be relying on the makeshift equipment you've picked up throughout the tournament instead of your usual gear, which is likely to be considerably better. Your other options are:
So, which is the best option? We'd recommend the amulet. The amount of money isn't particularly impressive, while the sword and armour are unlikely to compete with the best equipment you'll obtain elsewhere. Depending on its stats, however, the amulet can remain genuinely useful.
You can go after Bakir after taking his reward and leaving. To do so, simply return to Lunar Manor and head into the courtyard.
Once there, you'll need to defeat Bakir's bodyguards — nothing especially difficult — before you can face Bakir himself. The important difference is that you can now fight using your own weapons and armour, making the encounter considerably easier than taking him on under the tournament's restrictions.
In principle, you should be able to return for him on another night, but we recommend dealing with Bakir as soon as you're finished with the tournament to avoid any potential complications.
