Among the many points of interest you can find across the map of The Blood of Dawnwalker, Scouting Towers are among the most important for exploring the world. This type of point of interest becomes available after you finish the Prologue, and you can only complete them at night, since you'll need Coen's vampiric traversal abilities to reach their highest points.
First of all, remember that you can only activate Scouting Towers at night, as you'll need vampiric abilities such as Shadowstep to climb them. Once you locate a tower and get close enough to its highest vantage point, you'll see the "Scout the area" prompt appear on the screen.
Once you activate it, simply move between the highlighted points and investigate them to reveal locations marked with a ? on your map. The game won't always tell you exactly what each location is, but you'll at least know where to head next.
Since scouting towers doesn't consume any time segments, they should be one of your priorities as soon as you gain access to the full world map.
Most Scouting Towers outside Svartrau City contain chests with loot, usually close to the top. These often contain Manuals that allow you to unlock or upgrade abilities. Keep in mind that some towers are guarded by enemies, although you won't always need to defeat them before reaching the scouting point.

The Market Tower is one of the three Scouting Towers in Svartrau City, in the centre of the map. It's the northernmost of the three.
This is another of the three Scouting Towers in Svartrau City. It's located southeast of the Market Tower.
This is the third Scouting Tower in Svartrau City. You'll find it on the southwestern city walls.
This tower is located on the western side of the central part of the map, northwest of Svartrau City.
This tower is located southwest of Svartrau City, north of The Silts, in the southwestern part of the map.
This tower is located in the southwestern part of the map, beyond The Silts.
The final tower is located in the southeastern part of the map.
Look northwest of Tantari Woods to find it.
