While weapons and armour in The Blood of Dawnwalker are generally somewhat disposable, there are a few amulets and rings that stand far above almost anything else you can find in the game. We should point out that this section is a little more subjective than our guides to the best armour and best sword, but we're pretty confident that you'll love our recommended amulet and rings.
It's worth stressing that last point. While there's a huge variety of possible builds and playstyles to choose from, the amulet and rings we're recommending are an incredibly powerful addition to the Armour of the Arbiter and the Sword of St. Mihai. Trust us on this one and Coen will become an unstoppable killing machine: this is a versatile all-round setup that works extremely well in almost any situation, with the exception of builds that rely heavily on Witchcraft.
The name itself already gives you a clue that this amulet belongs near the top of any tier list of the game's amulets. The Arbiter's Medallion provides the following bonuses (remember that the higher the item's level, the greater its percentage bonuses):
To find this amulet, head to the location shown below. It's by a river northwest of the Svartrau Outskirts and south of Boar's Back.
When you arrive, you'll see a small waterfall. There's a hidden cave behind the waterfall on the right.
Inside the cave you'll find a large amount of loot: chests, piles of silver and, among the skeletons, the Arbiter's Medallion.
The Ring of Focus is an absolute powerhouse that lets you use combat abilities more frequently by rewarding aggressive play and well-timed blocks. Since this becomes especially important on higher difficulties, that's where this excellent ring really shines. It provides the following bonuses (remember that the higher the item's level, the greater its percentage bonuses):
This ring can be found in the inventory of the Silver Trader. If it's available there, all you need to do is pay for it.
While the Ring of Focus rewards skilled combat and lets you play more aggressively overall, the Ring of the Night does much the same for your vampiric form. It provides the following bonuses (remember that the higher the item's level, the greater its percentage bonuses):
This extremely useful ring is automatically obtained by completing Xanthe's Transports: Past Glory.
Just as swords and armour can be upgraded by visiting a blacksmith, amulets and rings can also be upgraded by paying a craftsman to raise them up to your current level.
