Time management is one of the core mechanics in The Blood of Dawnwalker. The story revolves around saving your family within 30 days, and while we've put together a roadmap explaining what to do each day, you may eventually find yourself wishing you could recover some of the time you've already spent. Surprisingly, you can.

Although the amount you can recover is limited and this can only be done once, there is a way to gain 1 full extra day (16 time segments) by meeting a specific requirement.

The key to gaining one full extra day in The Blood of Dawnwalker lies in the Sanzhani quests. These strange, unsettling fairy-like creatures can be found throughout Vale Sangora and are involved in a total of 6 side quests. To earn the extra day, you'll first need to complete these 5 quests — all of them except Letters to Lunka itself:

  • Good Home.
  • Pearly and Precious.
  • Come Hither.
  • Burrow Sorrows.
  • Tiny Dancer.

Once you've completed all five, head to the Yawning Burrow, the Sanzhani hideout in the Svartrau Outskirts.

Once there, find the Sanzhani Tsarina at the back of the burrow. She'll be highlighted in yellow while using Focus Mode. Speak to her and you'll be able to ask about the special reward.

After finishing the conversation, you'll see that Brencis's coronation has been pushed back by 1 full day. In other words, you aren't literally travelling back in time, but your deadline effectively increases from 30 days to 31. As far as the main time limit is concerned, that's essentially the same as recovering the 16 time segments you've spent elsewhere.
