Unlike other games in the series, Grand Theft Auto V has no cheats that instantly give you money. However, there are ways to make money quickly by exploiting glitches and completing some of the activities and missions detailed below:

You can only use this trick if you haven’t updated the game. Simply head to the locations shown in the video below. Once you reach one of them, dive underwater until you find a briefcase. Pick it up, immediately switch to any other character, and then switch back to the character underwater. If you’ve done it correctly, the briefcase and its money will reappear, allowing you to repeat the process and earn unlimited cash. Even without using the glitch, collecting all the briefcases will earn you up to $150,000 in one go.

While driving around, you’ll sometimes see blue dots on the map indicating armored trucks. Try shooting the guard carrying the briefcase before he gets into the vehicle to quickly grab the money inside, usually around $5,000. If you’re having trouble opening one of these trucks, drive it into the water and its doors will open.
While playing as Franklin in free roam near his house, a random event may appear as a blue symbol on the map. If you investigate it, you may find a man whose bike has been stolen.
Help him recover and return it, and he’ll later send you a message saying that he has become a millionaire and is giving you $100,000 worth of stock for helping him. Sell the shares quickly to secure your $100,000, as their value could fall—and if it does, you might lose all the money!
Note: this random event also appears to be available while playing as Trevor or Michael, but it is more likely to be triggered while playing as Franklin.
GTA 5 features a complex stock market investment system. To make easy money on the stock market, invest in a company and then attack its competitors. When you do something in GTA V that hurts a company, such as robbing one of its banks or destroying one of its planes, its share price will fall according to the damage caused. For example, buy shares in Air Emu and then shoot down FlyUS planes.
Another option is to buy shares when their value is low. First, shoot down one company’s planes to drive down its share price, buy its shares cheaply, and then destroy planes belonging to its competitor to make your investment rise in value. You can do the same with Ron Oil and LTD Oil. Likewise, buying shares in Augury Insurance (AUG) and destroying cars should increase their value.
Finally, whenever a mission involves damaging a company’s business or reputation, remember to invest in its competitor beforehand.

Some of the missions in Michael, Franklin, and Trevor’s adventure are particularly useful for investing in the stock market and making money. This is especially true of Lester’s assassination missions. Across the five jobs he gives you, you can buy shares in specific companies and sell them later to make a quick profit without raising any suspicion.
Before starting each of Lester’s five missions, you should invest in the following companies to make some serious cash.
Like the encounter with the stolen bike, this is another random event. To trigger it, head north of Paleto Bay, specifically to the location shown in the following image:
There you’ll find a woman who is about to be murdered by her kidnappers. If you save her, you’ll later receive a notification telling you that you’ve been rewarded with $60,000, as she is the daughter of mobster Sammy "Sonny" Bottino.
GTA V’s story missions don’t offer particularly large cash rewards, which is why you’ll need to rob banks, invest in the stock market, and use a few tricks along the way. Another good way to make money in Rockstar’s game is by selling cars. You’ll find plenty of vehicles throughout Los Santos and the surrounding area. Some are worth more than others, but you should always try to deliver them to Los Santos Customs without a scratch.
You don’t have to rob every GTA V store you come across. You can also buy a business to earn money in the long run. It will cost you a substantial amount upfront, but it will be worth it because you’ll not only recover your investment, but also continue earning money without lifting a finger.
If you like cars and racing games, this is another good way to make money in Grand Theft Auto 5. Steal or buy a car and put the pedal to the metal in a race. It’s a simple and entertaining way to earn cash. Some of the best choices for racing include sports cars and supercars.
Remember that there are plenty of other ways to make infinite money in GTA V, but these are the ones we consider the best and most effective.
We know you’re an honest person and would never use this method to make money, but we’ll tell you about it anyway:
GTA 5 doesn’t normally let you draw weapons inside stores. However, if you leave the door slightly open by blocking it with a car or motorcycle—or simply hold it open from the street—you’ll be able to shoot the clerk and then fire at the cash registers to collect all the store’s takings.
There is also an Ammu-Nation glitch. After doing the above, taking the money, leaving through the door, and walking around the store a couple of times, you may hear an electrical sound indicating that the cash registers have dropped more money. Go back inside and you’ll find the bags of cash on the floor again. Try this trick while you can, as it will probably be patched.
Finally, if you really have no soul, you can also follow some poor citizen to an ATM and wait for them to withdraw their cash. Kill them afterward to take all their money.
