After completing Mr. Philips, visit Maude's trailer as Trevor to unlock four Bail Bond targets: Ralph Ostrowski at Davis Quartz, Larry Tupper at an abandoned farm southwest of Harmony, Glenn Scoville on Mount Chiliad and Curtis Weaver at Dignity Village. Returning a target alive pays $10,000; killing one halves the payment to $5,000.
The four jobs are optional and are not required for 100% completion. However, delivering any one of the fugitives alive unlocks the Wanted: Alive Or Alive achievement or trophy.

Maude's assignments have no countdown or expiry date. Her dossier emails can eventually be pushed out of Trevor's visible inbox, but the current contract remains active and the fugitive stays at the corresponding location.
The safest method is a Stun Gun, but it may not yet be available when Trevor first unlocks these jobs. Trevor obtains one later during The Civil Border Patrol; until then, use controlled shots toward a fleeing target's legs or lower body and stop as soon as they surrender. Avoid head and torso shots, explosives, fire, Trevor's special ability, repeated or heavy melee attacks and high-speed vehicle impacts.
There is no need to rush the return journey. Lose any Wanted Level before trying to complete the handover, and drive carefully: killing a surrendered passenger before reaching Maude reduces the reward. If a target dies at any point, you do not transport the body to Maude; she resolves the contract remotely and pays $5,000. That fugitive will not return for another attempt.
| No. | Target | Exact area | What the target does | Best live-capture method |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ralph Ostrowski | Davis Quartz quarry | Runs to a Landstalker | Block the SUV or disable its tires, then stun or injure Ralph |
| 2 | Larry Tupper | Abandoned farm southwest of Harmony, near the Great Chaparral and Grand Senora Desert boundary | Flees while armed associates fight Trevor | Separate Larry from his group, then use the Stun Gun or a leg shot |
| 3 | Glenn Scoville | Mount Chiliad summit, southeast of the upper cable-car station | Parachutes from the mountain and runs for a dirt bike | Follow by parachute, land nearby and stop him on foot |
| 4 | Curtis Weaver | Dignity Village beside Great Ocean Highway, near Procopio Truck Stop | Fires at Trevor and runs uphill toward the road | Use cover, cut off his route and stun or shoot him in a leg |
Drive into Davis Quartz and follow the quarry road down through the excavation levels. Ralph is alone near a dark Landstalker at the far end. As Trevor approaches, he runs for the SUV and attempts to drive out of the quarry.
The simplest solution is to park across the Landstalker's route before moving close enough to trigger the escape. If Ralph gets into the SUV, pursue him and shoot the tires. Do not use explosives or keep firing into the cabin. Once he abandons the disabled vehicle, use the Stun Gun if available or fire controlled shots toward his legs, then stop and approach when he surrenders.

Larry is beside the barn at an abandoned farm southwest of Harmony, west of the Redwood Lights motocross track. Follow the dirt roads running between Senora Road and Baytree Canyon Road. Unlike Ralph, he is not alone: several armed men protect him and will attack Trevor when the encounter begins.
Use cover and remove the armed escorts without firing explosives toward the barn. Killing the escorts does not reduce the reward, but keep track of Larry so that you do not mistake him for one of the gunmen: he tries to escape on foot once the fighting starts. Chase him away from the crossfire, then use the Stun Gun or controlled shots toward his legs. Gunfire may attract the police, so lose any Wanted Level before making the return trip.

Take the cable car from Paleto Forest to Mount Chiliad's summit, or climb the mountain with a suitable bike or off-road vehicle. From the upper station, head toward the ridge and look for Glenn near a cameraman, two small flags and a parked motorcycle. Make sure Trevor has a parachute before approaching; one is available near the jump point.
Glenn leaps from the mountain as soon as the chase starts. Follow him and open Trevor's parachute with enough altitude to steer. Try to land close to Glenn rather than directly on top of him. After touching down, he runs for a dirt bike. Stop him with the Stun Gun or a leg shot before he builds speed, then find a vehicle and drive him back to Maude.

Enter Dignity Village through the short passage beneath the railway, then search the right-hand side of the camp. Curtis opens fire when Trevor calls him out, then turns and runs uphill toward the road. Use nearby objects for cover during his first shots and avoid returning fire at chest height.
Cut across his route instead of following directly behind him. A Stun Gun hit is safest; otherwise, use controlled shots toward his legs and stop firing when he gives up. Act before Curtis reaches the highway, where passing traffic can kill him and reduce the payment. Return him to Maude to complete the fourth and final Bail Bond job.

| Result | Reward per target | Total for four | Achievement/trophy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Returned alive | $10,000 | $40,000 | Wanted: Alive Or Alive unlocks with the first live handover |
| Killed | $5,000 | $20,000 | Does not unlock it |
You do not need to return all four fugitives alive for the achievement or trophy. Its requirement is simply to deliver one Bail Bond target alive. Ralph is the earliest opportunity, but Larry, Glenn or Curtis will also work if Ralph was killed.
Returning every target alive maximizes Trevor's earnings at $40,000. There is no separate bonus for a perfect set, and these missions have no Gold Medal objectives. After the fourth contract, Maude contacts Trevor to announce that she is retiring and sends no more Story Mode Bail Bond jobs.

No. Bail Bonds are listed within GTA 5's wider Hobbies and Pastimes content, and their introduction is presented as a Strangers and Freaks encounter, but none of the four targets is one of the 42 fixed Hobbies and Pastimes entries required for 100%.
Complete them for their dialogue, cash and Wanted: Alive Or Alive, not because the 100% counter requires them. Our Hobbies and Pastimes guide separates required events from optional activities, while the GTA 5 100% checklist covers every mandatory objective.
No. Ralph Ostrowski, Larry Tupper, Glenn Scoville and Curtis Weaver are fixed targets in GTA 5 Story Mode. GTA Online has two different Maude-related systems:
The Story Mode missions in this guide are available on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, including PC Legacy and Enhanced. On platforms that sell GTA Online separately, Story Mode ownership is required. The closure of GTA Online on PS3 and Xbox 360 did not remove these single-player missions.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Maude's marker has not appeared | Complete Mr. Philips, switch to Trevor and check the Grapeseed area around her trailer. |
| No first target email | Finish the introductory meeting, leave Maude's property and continue playing in free roam as Trevor. |
| No next target email | Confirm that the previous job has ended, then pass in-game time by playing, sleeping or saving. Check Trevor's email inbox rather than waiting at the previous location. |
| The target is missing | Make sure the matching email is the active contract, leave the search area and return, or reload the save. Visiting a later target's location before Maude assigns it will not start that job. |
| The target will not surrender | Stop shooting, approach after a non-lethal knockdown and give the surrender sequence time to begin. |
| The target escaped, or Trevor died or was arrested | The current attempt fails, but the active contract can be attempted again. Return as Trevor after the game makes the target available. |
| Maude will not accept the target | Lose any Wanted Level, make sure the captive is still alive and return to the marker at Maude's trailer. |
| A target was killed | The chain can continue, but that job cannot be replayed. Capture any remaining target alive for the trophy, or reload an earlier manual save if you want the full $10,000. |
| Glenn is not at the cable-car station | From the upper station, walk southeast toward the ridge, flags, cameraman and parked motorcycle. |
There are four: Ralph Ostrowski, Larry Tupper, Glenn Scoville and Curtis Weaver. Maude assigns them to Trevor in that order.
No. The four Story Mode contracts are exclusive to Trevor.
No. It is the safest option once available, but a carefully aimed leg shot can force a fugitive to surrender without killing them.
The job still resolves remotely, but Maude pays only $5,000 instead of $10,000. Trevor does not need to transport the body, and that target will not respawn for a second attempt.
No. The achievement or trophy unlocks after any one target is delivered alive.
No. They do not appear in Mission Replay. Make a manual save before each encounter if you want the option to retry a live capture.
No. All four are optional and do not replace any of the 42 specific Hobbies and Pastimes entries needed for 100%.
