Prostitutes appear on certain streets in GTA 5 mainly at night. Approach one in a compatible road vehicle with a free front passenger seat and no active Wanted Level, stop nearby and honk or use the displayed context action. After the NPC gets in, drive to a secluded place, stop the car and choose one of the three paid options. Any option completes the Story Mode requirement for 100%.

You do not need an expensive, flashy or high-performance car. A normal closed sedan or coupe is the safest choice. Compatibility depends on the vehicle model and cabin layout, not its purchase price.
Prostitutes are ambient pedestrians rather than collectibles, so there is no permanent icon or guaranteed spawn point. Their presence depends on the time and the pedestrians currently loaded in the area. If nobody appears, circle the block, move a short distance away and return, or advance the in-game clock.
The easiest practical location is La Puerta. Search the streets immediately north of Los Santos International Airport, around the roads beneath the freeway and near Maze Bank Arena. Visit after dark, drive slowly and watch the sidewalk rather than the minimap.

The vehicle must be driveable, upright and able to support the scripted passenger interaction. Its driver and front-passenger doors must be usable, the front passenger seat must be free, and the NPC needs a clear path to that door. Price and speed are not the deciding factors.

A sports car may work, but it is not automatically compatible. Conversely, a cheap everyday sedan is normally enough. If the message You cannot pick up Prostitutes in this vehicle appears, change cars; repeated honking will not override the restriction. The standard menu offers three price tiers with different scripted variants of the implied encounter. None gives extra completion credit, so the $50 option is enough for the Story Mode checklist.

The encounter restores some health without exceeding the character's normal maximum and partially recharges the Special Ability meter. It is not an efficient way to improve permanent stats, and the game does not award extra completion credit for repeating the activity.
The menu hides options you cannot afford. Some compatible cars can complete the pickup but only support the $50 scripted variant; if the $70 and $100 choices remain missing despite having enough money, switch to a conventional closed sedan. In GTA Online, the game checks the cash carried in your character's wallet rather than money left in the bank, so withdraw at least $100 first if you want all three choices.
Yes. Receive a Prostitute Service is one of the 16 fixed Miscellaneous tasks required for 100% completion in GTA 5 Story Mode. Complete one paid option with Michael, Franklin or Trevor. The $50 choice is sufficient; there is no reason to spend $100 solely for checklist progress.
This objective is separate from both Get a Private Dance at the Vanilla Unicorn and Complete a Booty Call. Completing one does not automatically complete either of the others. There is no trophy or achievement solely for this activity. It is indirectly required for Career Criminal, which is awarded for reaching 100% game completion, and therefore also contributes indirectly to the Los Santos Legend Platinum trophy on PlayStation.

Completing the activity in GTA Online does not satisfy the Story Mode objective. Online characters must perform it in Freemode with no Wanted Level. GTA Online is no longer available on PS3 or Xbox 360, although the Story Mode activity on those consoles remains unaffected.
Completing a valid encounter does not create a Wanted Level by itself. Crimes committed before, during or after the interaction can still attract police attention and interrupt it.
