Free Fire: How to Get Memory Fragments and Level Up Characters

In Free Fire, all characters have unique abilities, except for Adam and Eve. These abilities can be upgraded by leveling up characters, but to do so, you need to obtain Memory Fragments. If you do not know what they are or how to get them, do not worry: in this section of our complete guide, we explain everything in detail.

What are Memory Fragments and how do you level up characters?

Memory Fragments in Free Fire are cards or items used to level up the characters you have unlocked. In other words, these Memory Fragments help characters remember their past, allowing them to improve their abilities.

A character will generally need around 100 Memory Fragments to increase their ability level at first. However, you will also need to spend a certain number of Diamonds or Gold Coins to level up, and you can choose which of the two currencies to use. The higher your character's level, the greater the requirements for reaching the next one.

You can check these requirements for each character level at any time from the Archives tab while viewing a character's profile.

How to get Memory Fragments

As you can see, Memory Fragments are quite important if you want to improve at the game and increase your chances of winning. You may therefore be wondering how to obtain them. These are all the methods available for getting Memory Fragments:

• By playing matches: After finishing a match, you can earn Memory Fragments for the character you were using.
• Through Lucky Draw: If you are lucky, you may occasionally win additional Memory Fragments for your characters in this section.
• By purchasing them from the store: You can also buy Memory Fragment bundles from the store.
• Through events: Certain events may occasionally reward you with Memory Fragments or offer exchanges that allow you to obtain them.
• From the daily surprise crate: If you are lucky, you may receive random Memory Fragments by opening the free daily crate available in the store.

It is also possible to purchase Memory Fragment Crates for certain characters from the in-game store in exchange for 40 Diamonds, allowing you to level them up much more quickly and directly. These crates can contain anywhere from 80 to 2,000 Fragments if you are extremely lucky, although the amount you receive is random.

How to equip abilities from other characters

Finally, it is worth noting that characters in Free Fire have a total of three ability slots available. Therefore, in addition to their own ability, a character can equip abilities belonging to other characters if you have a free slot. Once again, you can unlock a slot by spending 50 Diamonds or 2,000 Gold.

Remember that you can only use abilities belonging to characters you have already unlocked. Bear in mind that if you equip a character with another character's ability, you will also receive 50% of that character's Memory Fragments when playing matches with the equipped character.
