Hellblade 2, la aventura de acción desarrollada por los británicos Ninja Theory lanzada en mayo del año pasado para Xbox Series y PC, se ha convertido en la gran protagonista de los BAFTA Games Awards 2025 al recibir 11 nominaciones, consolidándose como el título que opta a más premios.
Le siguen de cerca Astro Bot y Still Wakes the Deep, con ocho nominaciones cada uno, mientras que la comedia indie británica Thank Goodness You’re Here suma siete candidaturas, y Black Myth: Wukong, la aventura de acción china, obtiene seis.

Los premios BAFTA, organizados por la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión, cuya ceremonia se celebrará el 8 de abril en Londres y se transmitirá en vivo a través de YouTube y Twitch, reconocen la excelencia en el desarrollo de videojuegos. Este año, la lista de nominados destaca la diversidad y creatividad dentro de la industria, con una amplia variedad de géneros que van desde aventuras narrativas hasta grandes éxitos multijugador.
El juego más nominado, Hellblade 2, compite en categorías como Mejor juego británico, Logro artístico, narrativa, Diseño de sonido y Actuación protagonista, pero curiosamente no compite en la categoría más importante, la de mejor juego del año. Jane Millichip, CEO de BAFTA, destacó la riqueza de la selección de este año, con títulos que ofrecen experiencias innovadoras y cinematográficas. Por su parte, Tara Saunders, presidenta del comité de juegos de BAFTA, elogió la resiliencia de los desarrolladores en un periodo desafiante para la industria.
