Want to learn more about Episode Mode? In this section of our guide, we explain exactly how it works, what features it includes, and its total length, among other details.

What is Episode Mode and how does it work?

Episode Mode is available from the start and can be accessed directly from the game's main menu. Once there, you will have five teams of heroes—or not-so-heroic characters in some cases—to choose from, each with its own storyline, enemies, and rewards. The story is told through a combination of animation, comic-book panels, and battles that you will need to complete.

Episodes also feature "combat missions" that appear during fights. Completing them will allow you to gain advantages in that battle.
